Mayonnaise on a pizza is just fundamentally wrong, wrong, wrong.

In Europe, they're compelled to put corn on their already-bland pizzas. The further North one travels in Europe, the blander the food gets. I went to an Italian restaurant when I was in Stockholm earlier this year. It was the crappiest food I've eaten in a while. There was even a side plate of cole slaw. WTF?

California Pizza Kitchen makes a damn good BBQ Chicken pizza, and instead of tomato sauce they put on this spicy BBQ sauce...it is soooo good

seafood special pizza is surprisingly tasty...I've had it before...yummmy...

Plus squid ink looks terrible & stains your mouth black, so I have never found a reason to eat more than a spoonful of the stuff.

I lived in Japan for 7 years. Shakey's had the corner on the pizza franchise market over there. I used to love the shrimp and pineapple pizza. However, I was not fond of the cuttlefish pizze, yech! Used to be real freaky walking downtown Yokosuka, all these traditional Japanese restuarants, sushi shops and ramen houses and see a Shakey's sign. Go inside and it's just like stateside, wooden floors, tables, banjo music....

Well, any food involving spice or flavor is ultimately lost on the British.

I got something out of a vending machine while taking a break from watching the Sumo wrestlers thinking it was shoestring potatoes. Turned out to be baby squid tentacles. Hard as a rock but jammed with salty, artery clogging goodness!Didn't go well with the grapefruit soda I had but kept the munchies away for an hour or two.

Beardawgie, crazy! i (an american) was born in yokosuka, lived in yokahama till i was about five & have very fond memeries of shakey's pizza. been years, tho.

Why would you want to get pizza in Japan anyway? Why not eat the traditional food, have some cultural experience?
