(ABC)   In a liberal media attempt to influence budding young Republican boys, ABC News asks the obvious question: Is the president too chunky?   (abcnews.go.com) divider line 27

The man has gained 15 # since he became prez, which is a lot for someone who claims he works out so much. In fact he muslce mass, as I under stand is nto up much, (as muscle weighs more than fat), it is easy to see in photos he got fat! Sad thing is that he did not gain mass between the ears and he wastes so much time working out and has occoplished nothing!

Translation, he is unhappy b/c he wrecked the country and the world and he is eating too much.

He claims it was birthday cake, yet if you look at pics from all thru out the year, he has MIDDLE AGE SPREAD!

Ah, the question we all want the answer to, but were too afraid to ask.

Pres. Taft will state an emphatic NO.

he's also 60 years old. for some reason people think he's much younger. he's an old man, he's put on some weight. so what?

Obviously, fat makes people govern poorly.

Once ABC News proves to me that there is a relationship between the President's weight and his ability to govern effectively, perhaps there will be a "too chunky" guideline. Until then, STFU.

clinton got a little tubby, too, iirc.

it happens. the white house doesn't offer much chance for exercise. maybe that's why he's going to crawford.

Well, all those good Young Republicans are a bit too dapper for comfort. I've always figured there was a reason for their so blatant gay-hating.

Dunno, is it just me?

WTF STUPID kind of question is that?

Bush is healthier and in better shape than 80-90% of Americans half his age.

True, considering his scrambled-brain public demeanor I wouldn't be too surprised if he was hitting the sauce or even doing the occasional line of coke again, but overall his body is in fine superb and I admire his self-discipline in that regard.

Believe me, ther is PLENTY of valid stuff to criticize Bush on. We don't have to accuse him of eating too many Oreos.

/If I farked up the United States and world HALF as bad as Bush has I would be hitting the sauce too.

"fine superb?" Damn. Maybe I'm hungover or something.

Holy contradictory statement Batman!

Uhm.....I don't see how going back to drinking or doing lines of coke warrants your admiration of his self-discipline.

Maybe they should talk to the college Republicans who support Lieberman.

Yes, chunks of his brain have been falling out, submitter.

You noticed it, too?

Agreed. Who cares?

Bush is healthier and in better shape than 80-90% of Americans half his age.
You are not correct. Again, who cares?

Not really. Note my use of the word "Overall."

It is certianly possible, within limits, to be a drinker (even a somewhat heavy drinker) and still be physically healthy due to a otherwise good diet and exercise.

That's probably true with limited coke use as well.

I probably should have worded my post better. Sorry.

--------------

If you watch carefully his public appearances over time you can see that while Bush's body is healthy, his mind seems to be on a slow, steady downward spiral-- much like Iraq.

Seriously, I wonder about Bush sometimes. Is he...OK? I remember reading about the final days of the Nixon white house. Apparently Ol' Dick was darn near a basket case but the staffers around him somehow managed to keep up a fairly good public appearance.

This ain't good.

Iraq is decending into chaos and civil war with our troops caught in the crossfire. Israel and Lebanon are at war, with Syria and Iran showing interest in joining the fray. Iran is clearly working on a nuclear weapon and threatening $200/barrel oil if sanctions are imposed-- something they could actually accomplish if they start sinking oil tankers going through the Straits of Hormuz. Heavily armed North Korea is once again desperate and facing starvation. Hell, even Afghanistan is coming apart at the seams. There are probably a few more brewing crisis situations I haven't thought of.

Maybe there are still more scary situations that the president and his advisors know about but the general public dosen't.

And among all this mess, where is Bush?

On "vacation."

Ok, I have never done this before. But this is the first time that it actually works.

Bbbbbbut... Clinton....

Hmmm... young republican boys. No Michael Jackson comments? You people are slipping.

From TFA: Still, the appropriate body weight range is 157 to 192 pounds for a 5-foot, 11-inch man. Is there cause for alarm? Should the president go on a diet?

Uh, 157 for someone 5'11? Only in Auchwitz
