And the dumbing down of the U.S. continues at full speed.

"Americans just aren't gullible enough to believe that they came from a fish," he said.

If I can come in a fish, why can't I can come out of one?

There is not enough bleach in the world to get that image out of my brain.

if someone made an "Evolutionists Museum" .. the bible thumpers would be out there protesting it.
I have a feeling this place will see no sort of protest.

something to hide bible thumpers?..hrmm..

It will be interesting to see how the funds will be misappropriated.

It amuses me to note that if there was a nuclear war today and nearly all of civilization was wiped out, in 1000 years no one would remember jesus, or noah, or adam and eve. But they would learn math, and they would rebuild science, and eventually they would come to the same conclusions that we have.

/did I say amuses? I meant inspires

Aren't ALL museums "Evolutionist" museums?

He who writes history. Creates history. So make up a story and start a cult and watch the money flow on in over the centuries.

Which Creation Bible story?

It's impossible to take a literal interpretation from the Bible since there are TWO CONFLICTING Creation stories.

Its a shame to see 21 million dollars being used to perpetuate willful ignorance.

isn't any natural history museum an evolutionist museum?

Article:Ham, an Australian native ...said the goal of his privately funded museum is to change minds and rebut the scientific point of view.

...the $25 million Creation Museum [is] rising fast in rural Kentucky."

Shot yourself in the foot Ham.
The minds of rural Kentucky are already on your side. More like a monument to...JESUS!

I believe these are more commonly referred to as "Natural History Museums". For example, see The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago:

www.fieldmuseum.org

I am not aware of any large scale protests at these types of institutions, but I'm probably not as up to date on the antics of creationists as some are.

Beautiful beautiful ignorance. I can't wait for people to come in and tell us how a century of firm evidence isn't enough proof. The people they just plain don't understand it are fun too.

We can look forward to people just "not getting" how a cow can go into the water and turn into a whale.

These people will outbreed us eventually, soon the whole world will be nothing but mouth breathers watching nascar.

2006-07-31 07:06:29 PM
wouldn't it be great if a massive flood came and washed their "museum" away, maybe taking a few of them with it?

Anyone who [still] believes in the creation stories from the Bible still have not weaned from their mommies breasts.

/is the fact that the Earth is billions of years old too frightening to comprehend?

At least we're not that stupid to believe in magic...

So the fossils are from the great flood? In otherwords that poor Noah just couldn't build an ark big enough to carry 110 tonne dinosaurs.. wow. I thought our modern cruise industries had some problems. I also don't imagine a T-rex would be too much fun to herd onto a boat either. So God just wanted to save the warm and fuzzy and small animals??

the whole "Americans aren't gullible enough" I wont even bother going into... ya right. People are gullible enough to believe that dinosaurs were roaming around with Adam and Eve.

Okay here is a thing that I have always wondered. Build an ark, carry 2 of each animal and start anew. So what happened with the fish?? I dont imagine Noah had 2 of each species on the boat too, being that they live in the water. And in that case, how come there arent all the dinofishies swimming around (ya ya, insert shark and coelacanth photos here). But really, did the fish supposedly get a by on the flood thing? They lived and all the terrestrial critters died?

Ummm... 'cause you keep giving these people play, Smitty?

/ just leave them alone, and they will come home, wagging their tails behind them. History buries the stupid, unless people keep reminding us of them.

How about using some of that $25 million to aid some of the starving, homeless, unwanted children forced into this world by your anti-abortion policies?

"Americans just aren't gullible enough to believe that they came from a fish"

But they are gullible enough to believe that man came from a lump of clay and woman came from a rib.

If the earth were older than 6000 years we would be finding books marked as "BC4500" Since none have shown up, even with the best efforts of America hating architects, we can assume that the world is 6000 years old. Ball's in your court eviloutionists.

I want to see their section describing which came first, people or animals.

(Genesis 1: animals came first. Genesis 2: people came first.)

Some people like to come along into science article forums and complain about all the money "wasted" on things like astronmy, the space program, fossil hunting, etc., without practical benefits. I think the knowledge and abilities developed from these activities have great benefits, but...

THIS IS A HUGE WASTE OF $25 MILLION that could have actually been spent on something worthwhile. Feed the hungry, house the homeless, hell, even send groups of kids around the world to sing merrily to the heathens.

I'm appalled that these lunatics actually got hold of 25 million dollars.

I could have used that money to build a gigantic airship crewed by pert pleasure pirates from many lands.

2006-07-31 07:18:03 PM
Like most natural history museums, this one has exhibits showing dinosaurs roaming the Earth. Except here, the giant reptiles share the forest with Adam and Eve.

That, of course, is contradicted by science atheism, but that's the point of the $25 million Creation Museum rising fast in rural Kentucky.

Evolutionism is the tinfoil hat atheists wear to keep God out of their brainwaves.

beerden:

It's more of a fear of life having no meaning, that we are nothing but products of chance, and that god most certainly did not create man in his own image.

Honestly, how arrogant do you have to be to think that an all-powerful, all-knowing deity would look even remotely human? Or that god 'made' us in his own image? Humans are weak, slow, and cannot see, smell, hear, or taste anywhere NEAR as well as most other species on this planet; the only thing we have going for us is sentience and tool-making capabilities. That's it.

If god made us in his own image, his copy machine must have been really low on toner.

2006-07-31 07:21:19 PM
This was in the news last year. Freedom of speech tho - he can build a park for aliens & fairies if he wants.

If a public museum was doing that, then that would be different.

Do you have a point, big4head, or just ambiguous sentences that smell like half-assed flamebait?

2006-07-31 07:22:59 PM
You know, it figures. As soon as God-fearing honest Christians construct a museum to show the Truth, the leftwing atheist liberals start screaming bloody murder.
It's not enough that the media is constantly tearing down The Works of our Lord, no.
It's not enough that the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ has been stricken from the one place it is needed most, the so-called "public schools".
You people can't even let us True Believers have a museum.
What are you SO afraid of?
That maybe your children, husband or wife might be inspired by Our Lord and Savior and accept the plain truth?
That really terrifies you atheists, doesn't it?
Admit it.

2006-07-31 07:23:47 PM
Science is not Atheist. Science is Agnostic, if anything. It does not say there is no God. It merely tackles the problems that can be investigated using empircal, logical approaches. Supernatural occurences do not fall into that category.

Too many people on here, Atheist and Creationist, make that mistake.

2006-07-31 07:23:54 PM
A whole museum dedicated to presenting primitive superstitious nonsense as natural history. How far off can the next dark age be?
