Dammit, Copenhagen wins every year. I demand a recount.

Burundi was last place, huh? That reminds me of one of the funniest Onion articles ever:

That's quite a stretch on the headline, danish = bagels, subby.

Pretty cool. We should steal all of their good ideas.

"Smaller countries tend to be a little happier because there is a stronger sense of collectivism and then you also have the aesthetic qualities of a country," White said.

Less people makes for a better environment? Gee, who knew?

Sorry. That's a stupid headline.

WHo gives a fark about political clout in the world when you've got good booze, good bacon, a beautiful country with not many people in it, and nearly a full salary when unemployed!
Really, shouting about power just makes you seem jealous!

Danmark - If you're white and female, it's a great deal.

Not so much for the rest of us

Scarily like Holland as well. Denmark is quite like Holland, and the people are similar too. Well, except about a foot taller.

Danes are happy because they take one month off every summer. During this month, they go live in little shacks on the beach, run around naked, get blotto, and sneak off into the dune grass to fark each others' wives.

2006-07-28 12:00:13 PM
That explains why they're always smiling.

Scarily? About time immigration got tightened up around here because inbred goatfarkers import their entire extended families along with two dozen brides (along with their families) to live of dutch welfare.

Long live Rite Verdonk!

Monster Grendel's tastes are plainish

Who do you think actually has to go to work to pay for that wonderful welfare state, with or without immigrants?

That those who don't work want to keep the entitlement payments for themselves makes them just as bad as the so called "inbred goatfarkers" immigrants.

America used to be happy. At least until the whiny right wing douchebags took over. Seriously, what the fark is up with you people?

I know that it has been said, but it is worthy of repitition: WHO CARES!!!! People who feel the need to have power over others in order to be happy are teh scary.

I spent a few days in Copenhagen a few years back, and everyone was so friendly. It was sort of weird (being from New York)to have strangers just start conversations with me. Just a great great place.

nlscb:Who do you think actually has to go to work to pay for that wonderful welfare state, with or without immigrants?

Everyone does. Except people on welfare because they are exempt from a lot of taxes and they have a lot of subsidized stuff from the goverment apart from welfare income.

I love the Netherlands socialis system only because I'm violently exploiting it. (Student/HBO with OV jaarkaart)

That those who don't work want to keep the entitlement payments for themselves makes them just as bad as the so called "inbred goatfarkers" immigrants.

Yeah, true enough. We'll have to deal with those domestically. However, refusing illiterate, uneducated and incapable inbreds entry into the Netherland only because they're family of someone who is already here is a Good Thing. (TM)

I love their meatballs with the bosin (sp?) berry sauce. I usually pick up a couch or two and some cheap artwork when I finish eating too.

PSA:

Philadelphia cream cheese has absolutely nothing to do with Philadelphia other then its name. So if that is the only thing you know about Philadelphia, you know nothing about Philadelphia.

And bringing it up when someone tells you they are from Philadelphia will get you biatchslapped in a non-brotherly love kinda way.

Thank you. Carry On.

Pot is legal, the women are hot & totally uninhibited....nuff said. Planning to retire there to ranching.

I spent a summer in Denmark. I found the people to be polite but not outgoing. They were reserved, as most Scandinavians are. But I could see where they'd be categorized as happy; they're not nearly as uptight and afraid of the world like so many Americans these days.
