BTW, he's posting as "gehrig38" on the board. And he doesn't use quotes very well either... :P

But the real question is, does he read Fark too? ;)

I think that message board is run by a TFer.

I like the Weeners under Schilling. I think Kulish29 is a TFer.

HAHAHAHAHAAHA. You like Schilling's penis.

I found it interesting reading the back and forth between Schilling and the members of the NYYfans message board. I noticed a gradual begrudging respect towards Schilling in the later pages, which is impressive.

The amazing thing is, he had a bloody ankle the whole time he was online but didn't let that hold him back until he finished typing what he had to say.

I'd like to go there and read, but I don't know if my computer is protected against Yankee message boards.

From his last post it sounds more like his wife was about to send him to the DL if he didn't get off the computer.

And since TFA refers to taking things out of context, here's one of his posts....

"From start one of ST to game 7, no one has a tighter ass than I do on days I pitch."

how the hell can you not love this guy?

I was more impressed at the demeanor of the Yankees fans on the board. They were cordial, for the most part, but not patronizing, either. It was a good read, actually.

I've always like Curt Schilling. He's very down-to-earth, almost to a fault, for a professional athelete, and his participatory conversation with rival fans until 1am is certainly above and beyond what any of his peers would dare. Even if you hate the guy, you have to give him credit for something like this.

Yep... New Yorker...

Yeah, it's heroic for a loudmouth to troll a message board. Oh well, better he was doing that than spewing that sort of crap to actual sportswriters.

spider11: how the hell can you not love this guy?

He plays EverQuest 2.

World of Warcraft is closer to the original EverQuest than EQ2 is!

Is that why you do it in every Red Sox thread?

Because he's a douchebag.

Earned my respect when he was talking VERY candidly about the code of pitchers hitting batters and protecting their team. Way old school and I was digging it.

He didn't give a rat's ass, he just put it out there, like it or not, yeah I'll bean the shiatsu out of a guy if that's what has to be done. There you go.

If only more players were like this... it's almost a rare insight into the mind of a baseball player.

Zulu_as_Kono, true, but I don't pitch for the Yankees. Maybe it's strange that I think ballplayers should act like pros off the field as well?

Yeah, then he'll hit a guy in the head for no apparent reason and say it's his own fault for not getting out of the way. As if he didn't throw the pitch.

Class act, all around.

Well that would disqualify what he had to s-- oh, wait, it wouldn't. So what.

I don't like Shilling, but I'd trade The Big Useless for him any day. So what if Johnson has 10 wins...he has 7 losses and is an arsehole besides.

fark Schilling. The man is a coont, and I'd tell him that to his face if I saw him on the street here.

Seriously, Curt. I hope your farking plane goes down.
