Do you really think the multi-billion dollar industry that is broadcast sports will let you stop broadcasting live?? You DO realize, too, that all your complaining about cussing on the TV ain't gonna stop the cussing at the sports bar, or at home, right????

\You want to see a riot? Tell a Southerner that they're no longer gonna broadcast SEC or ACC football because someone might cuss. You will find out exactly how many people exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

Did you ever watch WCW during the last few years they were on the air? The crowd would occassionally chant obscenities (usually very mild ones like "you suck")and the Turner networks would try to dampen them in the broadcasts.
It was really, really sad.

That was the LEAST of WCW's problems toward the end.
Altho, it's really annoying having the 'asshole' chant nice and loud while the 6 year old and his friends are in the house (Dish Network. Raw at 6pm pacific)

Here's what's going to happen if the nanny police get there way:

(1) No more open microphones of fans, so all you'll hear are the the announcers (should be fun at basketball games where the announcers sit court side). How exciting....

(2) No more live closeups of coaches, players etc so any potential mouthing of a curse word is not seen.

(3) No more live news reports, so there is enough time for a curse to be deleted.

Meanwhile, in N.Korea, Iraq, Iran, Afganistan, Lebanon, Israel, Gaza, all is peaceful and calm, right?

There's a novel idea. Then again, you won't find any in that category in the Democratic or Republican parties.

This means that there won't be any sort of live event that isn't on a delay of some sort.
The companies that sell this equipment are reporting a boom in sales. I wonder if any of the FCC commissioners are investors in these types of companies.

Remember years ago when that woman in the crowd outside "The Today Show" lifted her shirt on live TV and showed her boobs? Yeah, that was quite scary. Anyway how come we never heard a peep from the FCC about that when she showed 2 boobs and Janet Jackson only showed one?
