Why? F**k him, he's in prison. If anything, let him pay for it. He surrendered his freedom to 'society', so 'society' may be obligated to feed and shelter hizass, but why does that give him the right to procreate on the taxpayers dime?

If he pays for it, fine. Otherwise, he can fark off.

In a few years, it could happen in America. Right now the federal circuits are split on whether a prisoner has a right to father/mother children. A few years ago the 9th circuit said yes, but most of the country still says no.

In places that say prisoners do have the right to procreate, and if public health programs in those areas pay for non-prisoners to have in-vitro treatments, then I'm not sure if the state could deny prisoners the same treatment and survive the equal protection clause.

We're not there yet, but it could happen.
