I doubt it most cities have ordaninces that prohibit or restrict this type of unsightly advertising.

2006-07-05 10:28:55 AM
that looks fake to me - shenananannananaigens

2006-07-05 10:29:35 AM

germ78: isn't he dead anyway?

AFAIK he's working for the WWE in some form.

karlandtanya: Boobies!!!!

You lose.

Looks 'shop'd to me... I think some farkers could do an even better job. The trick now is finding the 'O' to prove it.

2006-07-05 10:34:14 AM
I've never seen something that looked more photoshopped in my life.

2006-07-05 10:35:52 AM
Looking at the image properties in Opera gives this info:

"File change date and time: 2006:07:04 13:51:59
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows"

Sounds and looks about right to me.

2006-07-05 10:37:03 AM
fake as can be. no question.
Billboards don't have slogans that say 'get laid today', clickable links that go to spyware addled porn sites do.
/get a brain, morans!

First fish, no extra points.

Shopped.

At a Glance Reasons:
1. Every big name brand is on there. Big names wouldn't be the first to jump on something like this.

2. They kept the banners that don't have a real company name, like "Get Laid Today" and "I love new work". These only work online because you can click them.

2006-07-05 10:37:44 AM
Supposedly its the Sandberg Institute's building.

2006-07-05 10:42:56 AM
Amusing, nonetheless.

And karlandtanya, die in a fire.

2006-07-05 10:44:43 AM
Of course it's fake - look at the "USB symbol" ad.
But, something tells me the original author of the 'shop didn't intend this story to go with it.

Advertising and the liars marketers who make it up need to FOAD.

2006-07-05 10:57:53 AM
The photoshopper didn't even bother putting legitimate billboard advertising on the building, he just copied internet-style ads. You can't click a billboard that says "FREE FREE FREE FREE"

Was noticing the other day that buyitoff.com seems to be down for good.If you don't remember there was a model fully clothed and you bought articles of clothing(advertising space) that were removed, totaling $1 million.I checked on it from time to time and I don't think they ever sold more than the 3-4 pieces they got after getting a free plug here like a year ago.

/down with unimaginative copycats anyway

Check out the details here:

http://www.sandberg.nl:16080/artvertising/

This site is actually trying to get you to pay for the tiles! At least it is a clever scam....

2006-07-05 11:08:42 AM
"Get Laid Today?"

omg the chilldren!

2006-07-05 11:22:09 AM
Everybody's ... got a price.
.
.
Everybody's ... gonna pay.

This is a pretty good idea - and the building looks cool I think.

karlandtanya
I pity you.

2006-07-05 11:44:39 AM
Looks like a photoshop to me

/maybe I'll steal the idea though

Pure Genius!

2006-07-05 12:40:15 PM
How can any site that claims to have news, post such obvious fake crap? (I'm not talking about fark, talking about the Infinity Labs)

2006-07-05 01:19:28 PM
took me a min. to realise this wasnt from the dumbasses and Infinium Labs. the folks that are supposedly working on the Phantom game console.

2006-07-05 02:09:51 PM
I think it's a model of what they're trying to do with this building. No one's bought any tiles yet, this is just their Photoshopped model of what it would look like if people did.

I gotta admit, I really like the idea for the million dollar homepage. I wish I'd thought of that. I'd probably be a millionaire.

//Obvious.

2006-07-05 03:16:30 PM
Fake indeed but they've milked nearly 10,000 clickthoughs out of us, so now who's laughing?

2006-07-05 05:57:30 PM
RedRackham: so now who's laughing?

I am, but at karlandtanya.

/shiat man, you've been around since '01 and still got pwned?

2006-07-05 06:36:02 PM
Looks like you're getting a lot of carp, karlandtanya :)

2006-07-06 01:38:59 AM
I think the concept is real, that photo is an 'artists impression'.
go to the site bubba posted and click on the picture - they show you how many tiles you'd need to buy to get something that would be visible - methinks it would probably work out more expensive than a billboard
O RLY?
