FTFA: Until he was about 100, he made the drive on his own

Did that frighten anybody else?

dstanley: FTFA: Until he was about 100, he made the drive on his own

Yea, that is when they started having a farmer's market in the bowling alley parking lot.

Very good headline, submitter.

dstanley - That scared the bejeebus out of me. We can only hope that the Country Kitchen Buffet was near his home.

In a battle of the old people last year, he beat Strom Thurmond by a score of 112-0, then took down George Burns 109-0, and then Bob Hope in the finals 112-0.

/Aisle seat.

The church held a party for Hargrove's 105th birthday, and he sang for the congregation. A few weeks later the congregation presented him with an album of photos from the event. He recently brought it to the bowling alley.
"That album is the story of my life at the church that day, and I'm real proud of it," he said.

The headline is funny but the article is about as exciting as Matlock or MacGyver...

If he lives one more year his age will be the same as his bowling average. Does that count for anything?

My father was 47 when I was born. 1913/1960
My mom was 20
Dad was a stud.

Nope. I can outbowl my age by 10 pins easy.

From TFA: "It's an honor to be doing something nobody else can do," Hargrove said. "It's just upsetting that there's nobody else in my age group that is still bowling."

/Fixed.

My grandpa does something like that. He went blind from macular degeneration about 20 years ago. My grandma (RIP) would only have to move him through a room and tell him about obstacles once and he'd jot it to memory. He told me that he makes something like a map in his head and then feels a familiar spot on a wall or something else, and can figure out where he's at.

That impresses me. He refuses to use a stick when he doesn't actually need one.

Although I do wonder what happens when he loses the TV remote..being a man, it's unavoidable. One time I lost the TV remote and spent two minutes looking for it, when it was in my hand the entire time.

He can't see anymore.
Lost his sight in '64.
I lead him like a horse to water."

Old guy gets this quote from a not-as-old-as-the-old-guy old broad, he must be good.

Look at the pins he got out of that!" she said. "He's amazing. I think his ball is magic."
