I say let the authorities release every last shred of evidence, notes, scientific results, etc.--even evidence that only the killer would know. Regardless of who the murder is, the information is bound to jar someone's memory of something they saw or heard in the days leading up to the murder. If keeping the record closed doesn't solve it, open it up and let someone else have a look see.

On November 19, 2002, The Rocky Mountain News reported the unknown male DNA recovered from JonBenet's panties could have been left on the garment at the time the clothing was manufactured. "In exploring that theory, investigators obtained unopened 'control' samples of identical underwear manufactured in the plant in Southeast Asia, tested them and found human DNA in some of those new, unused panties."

ooohhhhh....

Ya, so was Hitler before he cracked up.

So Hitler's crackup was so bad, it resulted in a sex change?

Just finished reading the crime library write up...damn that family went through hell. I don't agree with child pagents but no one deserves to be treated the way they were. And worst of all the real killer didn't have to worry about anything because the investigation never moved past the parents in terms of suspects. A real shame...this woman deserves some serious respect for going through all that with cancer to boot.

Wow.

I didn't pay attention to this scandal the first 1000 times it crossed my bow, but here on this lazy, sunny Saturday afternoon, I'm deeply intrigued...

I love America, cause by tomorrow no one will remember or care what happened yesterday...

Here's someone's theory on what happened that night.

Oh, at first I thought it read Pat Ramsey died of ovarian cancer. I guess his ovaries are still intact enough for the moron Jets to sign him.

I have twice seen a documentary that a British crew made on the killing, and there was very convincing evidence that a local known perv and his buddy may have done it. (Another little girl JonBenet took dance lessons with was attacked in her bed, but lived.)

That said, Patsy came off as a defensive, hard-faced biatch in interviews for the documentary: more concerned about her image than the fact the killer hasn't been caught. Regardless of who killed the little girl, I think she was forced to live some kind of unnatural life with a shallow, self-absorbed mother.

Ah yes, what's been called the "War and Peace" of ransom notes. How many pages was it? Written inside the house? And none of the family saw or heard a thing?

2006-06-24 03:21:32 PM
Love all the crime fighters here that can solve the case just by googling.

They were freaks to have the kid in pagents and dress her up like a hooker/Paris Hilton but if there was enough evidence that they committed the crime they would have been arrested.

There wasn't exactly much evidence that Scott Petereson committed a crime except that he was a slug, and he was convicted. Which he should have been.

These people had an open house and had all sorts of people walking through the house before this happened.

I doubt if they had anything to do with it.

No real ransom note would say:

"Hey, if you want to get the money early, we can arrange earlier delivery. Thank you for choosing FedEx."

Ransom notes say "You will do this, at this time, in this way, or she dies." It's all about control, hence why they are called "demands".

"A group of individuals from a small foreign nation" sounds like a phrase a wealthy white person (who was pulling a scenario out of their ass) would write.

"If you want her to see 1997." Many foreign nations don't use the traditional A.D. year structure. Plus this is a phrase you would hear in some action movie.

This ransom note is a joke. I can't believe this murder went unsolved.

I submitted this with the Monty Python & The Holy Grail headline...

"The person who killed my daughter was....aaaaarrrrrrggghhh."

2006-06-24 03:35:33 PM
Folderol: In reading some of the links for the story, I did read where the police leaked FALSE information (regarding child abuse and pornography) about the Ramsey's to put pressure on them? That more recent DNA evidence absolved them? I had never heard any of that. If true, it's incredibly horrible for these people - and I was definitely on the "the parents did it" bandwagon.

An associate of mine was on a team that investigated this, post Boulder police fark up. All he would say was "There was no one other than family in the house at the time of the murder." Hmmmm.

And I submitted this with the headline "Patsy Ramsey has gone to join JonBenet at the Great Beauty Pagent in the sky".

/justice not served
//dig her ass up and prosecute her anyway

2006-06-24 04:38:03 PM
I have followed the case and there are a lot of things which don't add up.

First, Ramsey had recently been given a salary bonus of $165,000 which was exactly the amount demanded.

Second, the ransom note mentions the idiom "southern common sense", which I have never heard used in conversation though I have lived in the south for more than 50 years, but which is a phrase Patsy Ramsey used regularly.

Third, she was coy in watching the police, and when she thought they were not paying attention, she would sit still, but then turn on the waterworks whenever they were watching.

Fourth: The ransom note was written on a pad of paper which was in the household at the time; highly unlikely a kidnapper/killer would stop and write the note.

CONCLUSION: I don't have enough gross physical evidence to say she did it, but it is fairly well proven she knew more than she was telling.

And now we will never know the truth--dammit.

2006-06-24 04:48:48 PM
First, Ramsey had recently been given a salary bonus of $165,000 which was exactly the amount demanded.

If you read the ransom note, they wanted $118k...

"In the ransom note, almost exclusively the lowercase manuscript a was used, I think, 98 percent of the time," he said. "What was telling was that after the Ramseys were given a copy of the ransom note, the lowercase manuscript a almost disappeared entirely from Patsy's post-homicide writing. Writing samples from Ramseys' personal letters and notes she wrote before the killing contain 732 manuscript a's that look like the lowercase typewritten a, but they are written by hand. She switched to a cursive a after the murder."

2006-06-24 05:03:19 PM
I made a typo on the earlier post, it was 118 large, not 165 as I had recalled.

Only someone on the inside would have known the sum however, and you are asking me to think someone who had just committed murder would have the composure to sit down and write a two-page note right there and then; fat chance he would be so stupid, he would run like hell.

I am told there was fresh snow on the ground all round the house, but it was not inspected for tracks--until cops, reporters, and a bunch of people tracked it up all to hell.

There was also a high-powered attorney who got underfoot at every turn, he was never mentioned in any subsequent documents or articles. He should have been arrested for tampering with an investigation.

GREETINGS:

I represent a small group of tinfoil-hat, weed-smoking alien perverts. We are sick and tired of your false gods, incessant bickering and assorted other bothersome bull crap.

Therefore, we have decided to put out the sun.

You can check if you want: On June 21st, there was 13 hours and 54 minutes of sunlight at 28 degrees 30 minutes north latitude; more in the north, less in the south, but don't worry--your day will come, no matter where you live.

As proof of what we say, check the hour and minute of sunrise and sunset for the next several days. You will find we are trimming one to two minutes of daylight off of every day.

You will see results in only a few weeks to verify what we say, and by December it will be much darker and colder; slightly over 10 hours of sunlight. If you still fail to heed our wisdom, the sun will go down and never come back up. You will all freeze to death in the dark.

In order to spare yourselves this horrible fate, we have designated Farker olddinosaur as our agent and representative on earth; to exactly as he says, and you will not be hurt.

You are to provide this man with $10 billion dollars in down payment money, along with $1 billion dollars a month in operating funds, immediately. You must also provide 1000 comely Farkettes with cute faces, slender waists and firm young boobies, without delay. You are to advise Heineken Brewery of Holland that a large supply of their product is to be on hand at all times, and chilled to the proper temperature; this demand is not negotiable. Several kilos of Vancouver bud are also required, but we will settle temporarily for a slightly inferior substitute if this cannot be produced immediately.

We also demand a 50,000 square foot mansion, comparable to the Playboy Mansion of Los Angeles, for our designated agent, along with Lear Jets, power yachts, jet skis, Corvettes, Porches and assorted other playthings; a complete list will be published shortly.

You must do all of this IMMEDIATELY, or you will all die. We are not joking.

------(signed)-------

---ALL THE GODS OF THE PANTHEON, BS, MF, SOB, BFD as usual.

Mr Ramsey sold servers and would personally approve very special deals for groups who were running full binary usenet news feeds. Some of those groups had would have pictures of his daughter dressed up like a whore. The day that the murder happened, nearly all the pr0n on usenet died which is very unusual over a christmas break when the guys running the servers have nothing better to do than post their collections.

Yup. $118,117.50 was the bonus. $118,000 was the demand. Peculiar to say the least.

And DON.MAC could you elaborate as to how that ties in to the case? From what I can tell it is just coincidence.
