Michael Moron: I assume you mean me, since I mentioned the Frontline piece. I never said Frontline wasn't biased...But have you seen the episode I am talking about?

Additionally, I have voted Republican every election since '92.

So, cram it.

By lumping all "right wingers", "conservatives", "left wingers", "liberals", etc. into one category, I am in no way ignorant. Come on! Mass generalizations only make me look intelligent.

Stupid neocon libtards!!

Seriously, some of you need to take a break from Fark.com. I suggest walking outside. Feed your pets. Eat something. Do some Pilates or some shiat. Just get off the damn computer. I swear, it's like some of you live for political flamewar bashing threads. Do something constructive.

TGOT has got to be a paid troll. He's relentless with his absurd talking points.
There is a concerted effort to troll the forums. A group use google groups to discuss, apparently, the reactions to the blatantly trolling comments. I thought this was forbidden, but maybe I interpret things wrong.

EricB: the two retarded bushadmin "facts":
1. he was a threat to america
2. he had wmds

you're forgetting the most important one:

3. he tried to kill my daddy

Damn...is there any topic on which neocons don't get utterly and absolutely pwned by anyone with at least two brain cells to rub together?

I'm starting to think that America really is becoming retarded. At least before, when "conservatives" were really conservative, both sides had something to bring to the table. Now, with Bush & Co., it's just one retarded thing after another.

And the guy got re-elected! How the hell did that happen?

The most logical explanation is just that we needed him to stick around to clean up his own Iraq mess, like in a movie where you've captured the bad guy, but you can't kill him right away because he has some information you need to undo the crap he did.

But I think the larger problem is that after 9/11, much of America became retarded. 9/11 was like some kind of stroke America had, where half the brain went dead and now it can't think straight. And THAT'S the biggest damage Al Qaeda did--not the Pentagon, not the Twin Towers, not even the economy, but the retarded fear-bravado combo that ensued thereafter, the kind that says shiat like how some things become necessary "in our post-9/11 world," and crap like that.

So when do you think Conservatives will start listening to reason?

Sorry to Burst your bubble. But these DEGRADED mustard gas shells, most likely the ones we sold to Saddam during the 80's, ARE NOTHING Resembling those weapons of Mass destruction described by General Powell during the UN Meeting.

Remember the mobile labs? Those development of missiles or nuke warheads that could reach xx target in a matter of x time?

Sorry but weapons that were used during WW2 containing gases that have been developed before my parents were even born hardly classify as weapons of mass destruction. And are nothing that was described by this Bush administration.

If this is considered mass destruction, then those rounds of machine gun bullets strapped to RAMBO's Chest could be classified as weapons of Mass Destruction.

Good attempt. But try again.

Jon_da_Brockman: Your point?

I'd guess that the point was that this bullshiat war ws sold because the illusion that Iraq was actually a threat to us was created.

I don't remember hearing a gotdamned thing from one pro-war farker about "liberating" Iraq, or spreading Freedom® until it was painfully obvious to those of us that think that the WMD/imminent threat stuff was bullshiat.

I'm just guessing.

jayday: They are there but exactly how much use are they?
eraser8: My point is that I don't think you went far enough. If those shells are useless, they are not weapons.

Thats the problem tho, they didnt say the were useless, only degraded. Additionally it is also possible to reconstitute some of those chemicals(dont know the work involved or how hard it would be, only that it could be done.)

Anyway, FTA....."The purity of the agents inside the munitions depends on many factors, including the manufacturing process, potential additives and environmental storage conditions. While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal,

I guess the point they were making is that they arent "As Lethal." The way this article is written tho makes it seem to me these things may have been found in a dump or disposal area.....Again going back to the yes there are WMD, but they arent in any condition to be used hypothesis.

Does Mr. Gore go on to advocate a full-scale invasion of Iraq?

Does he suggest that an "imminent threat" exists that would necessitate an immediate act of war on our part?

I didn't think so.

corn-bread: You're right on one count: the 45 minute thing.
However the idea that Iraq was sold to the US as an immediate danger is well documented:

"This is about imminent threat."
• White House spokesman Scott McClellan, 2/10/03

Well if you go on further into his briefing, he was talking about Iraq's imminent threat to his neighbor nations and not the US.

The only thing close would be Rumsfeld's statement, and that isn't all that condemning.
