Oh, I dunno - maybe there will be some funny lines in it that will, although true, provoke the LDSers to gather their pitchforks and torches and act like the CoS. That'd be funny.

If the Mormon musical opens, more than 2 polygamists + broods
on stage will cause firemarshall to close theater.

To be fair, Orgazmo wasn't a musical.

I'm still interested in how this turns out.

Radiumsoup

Won't happen. Mormons have dealt with stuff like this for the 176 years they've been organized.

Maybe there will be some new jokes about the Mormons, but I doubt it. I personally think that jokes about or on Mormonism have been overdone and are becoming cliche. Of course, that may be why they are so popular on Fark.

If the musical is serious, however unrealistic that may be -- we are talking about Parker and Stone here -- well, they could never match the critical acclaim of Angels in America.

Did that headline have a "The Producers" reference in there?

Upon reading the Article though, it will be co-created by Avenue Q writer Jeff Marx. This of course means it will be pretty funny too. And not just stupid fart joke funny like south park.

South Park really hit the nail on the head with their Mormon episode. That religion, like all of them, is a crock of shiat. We are just able to recognize it as such more clearly because it hasn't been fogged up by hundreds of years of mythology and pseudo-history.

/whew!

Congrats on spewing your anti-religous reterec when the thread is about a farking musical, buttwipe.
If religion bothers you so much you have to stand on a soapbox in a forum about a musical, then you've got WAY to many issues to leave the house.
But in case you do decide to leave the house, tell your mom I said when you leave the basement, genius.

I, for one, just can't get enough Mormon bashing. Those guys are one step up from child molesters.
