From what I hear on the radio this morning, they were kidnapped in a planned attack when other soldiers at their checkpoint were lured away by two cars running the checkpoint. R.I.P.

Can you hear the sound of millions of democrats pleasuring themselves while reading that article?

Cheap, and not even original. Stop parroting Rush et al. and think for yourself for a minute. Does it really seem likely that "democrats" are happy that American soldiers are dying in a war they generally oppose partly because of the casualties it causes?

Unavailable for comment.

BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) - Thirteen Iraqis working in poultry farms in a village near the restive city of Baquba were killed during overnight US raids in the area, Iraqi police and a rights organisation said.

The workers had been sleeping in the fields of Bushaheen village in an area known as Al-Salam (peace), some 90 kilometres (55 miles) northeast of Baghdad, said an Iraqi police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity.

He said that in addition to the 13 killed, four others were wounded and 10 people arrested.

The report was backed up by Hadi al-Azzawi from a human rights organisation in the restive city of Baquba, while the main hospital in the city said it had received 13 bodies.

I noticed that the U.S. Government is not confirming this story. I suspect that is because they have not notified the families yet. If that is the case, then it is irresponsible for the media to report on the deaths just citing to Iraqi sources. The U.S. has a system of notifying family members to ensure that they get the support and respect they deserve. I will be very angry if the families are finding out about this news by seeing it on TV.

2006-06-20 07:27:29 AM
They killed them pretty fast. I wonder if they felt the pressure?

2006-06-20 07:27:43 AM
Wait, the insurgents didn't put them in Gitmo? Hold it, you mean to tell me the folks in Al-Qeada lied about actually having those soldiers??? Someone in the moral wing of Al-Queada will get a nastygram from me - after I get back from my PETA meeting.
Sarcasm to make a point. Perhaps the enemy that flew planes into our building are bad people who want to harm us. And yes, they are in Iraq and yes they are the same group responsible for 911 and yes we should thank God they are fighting and entangled there and not here. Long sentence, simple point.

Can you hear the sound of millions of republicans continuing to let our men and women die in a war, just because of politics?

Just as idiotic.

Bears repeating.

Just wanted to chime in and say how sorry I am.

Do the people in power feel sorry or is this just the way war is? They attacked us and killed 3,000 innocents. We killed at least 100,000 innocents. Does it matter who started it now? Is this what people mean when they say two wrongs don't make a right?

2006-06-20 07:30:37 AM
Marvelous. Their corpses aren't even on the way back to America yet, and all certain among us can think is

How can MY side score points off this?

First side that quits trying to re-animate the dead gets my vote.

What the hell is wrong with you?
If you think making absurd generalizations like that about a huge group of people, based only on their political leanings, makes what you say sound relevant, think again.

only two people. don't sweat about it, we have a big army and great recruitment for more heros. All these men who die are heros. more patriots will enroll and serve us well.

2006-06-20 07:33:51 AM
Rest in peace, and may those who murdered them (Yes, when you kill a POW, it's murder) meet justice in hell.

Now we are going to hear some republicans argue that we should be allowed to torture and kill prisoners because our enemies do, and democrats say that the insurgents are justified in doing whatever the hell they can because they are underdogs fighting a superior army.

It's so predicatable, I can almost guess what images people are going to post, what comments people are going to make....doesn't it ever get old?

They don't oppose it because of the casualties it causes, they oppose it because they hate Bush and get some kind of masturbatory glee out of seeing him fail at every opportunity. If it was Gore or Kerry leading the ship right now do you really think there would be this much opposition to the war from the left?

What job?

"And the liberals rejoice...."

Hundreds to thousands of people vanish every day in Iraq. Many end up with their heads put into boxes. I don't think ANYONE is really happy that this is going on. But I do think that people in Iraq are smart enough to notice that when they die its collateral damage when our guys die its a tragedy. Get a brain...this situation is totally screwed up and should have never been started in the first place.

2006-06-20 07:35:27 AM
"Cut and Run" is the new buzz phrase they are using right? That's all I hear these days. Anyone ever bother thinking about what is being accomplished over there when they take a break from posturing?

The whole thing is sad and good for no one.

We could be in Iraq for the next 2000 years, the job will never be done. For two reasons:
1) No one has any idea what the 'job' is - our reasons for being there seem to change every few weeks
2) This is status quo for the middle east. It will never be the USA - it is what it is.

Farking my Brains Out: wait, did you mean moron?

Using the 'Moran' spelling is a reference to a picture where a war supporter was holding a sign emploring other to 'Use Your Brain, Moran.' The irony was not lost among the Fark crowd, and it became a common replacement. Apparently, you really should stop Farking as soon as possible. You don't have the brains to spare, friend.

Democrats have hated the troops since Vietnam, fact. The only reason they're 'supporting' them now is because it's in their political interest, i.e. Bush sent em there and they hate Bush.

We're fighting a tough battle over in Iraq, al-qaida who attacked us on 9/11 is over there killing innocent people and American soldiers/marines and you moonbats want us to pull out?

Shame on you libs.

I can't speak for what would have happened with Kerry, but if Gore had won in 2000 I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have gotten into this stupid war in the first place, and these two kids and thousands like them would still have their futures ahead of them.

Steve walks warily down the street,
With the brim pulled way down low
Aint no sound but the sound of his feet,
Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready, are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat

Nah - different batch. The ones in Iraq are mostly new. We forgot about the ones who attacked us on 9/11.

Well the possibility of even more civilian deaths, as these farkers don't wear uniforms, are going to rise because the troops have nothing to lose in defending themselves against perceived threats.

Try to remember this incident when you denigrate them.
