Whoa, a Twins greenlight? Awesome.

Santana was electric tonight. Mauer is a hitting machine.

Tito bringing in Tavarez in the 12th inning, any Red Sox fan who didn't see that one coming is blind.

Damn punk kids...get off my lawn...grumble grumble

Not sure if anyone else remembers this, but Tavarez was incredible for the Cardinals. And then came Carlos Beltran when he was on his tear during the playoffs. Practically hit a pitch off the dirt into the stands, and tavarez broke his hand punching something afterwards. Havent seen him handle a big game since without blowing up. Probably why the Cards didnt make a real effort to resign him.

Tavarez has some good stuff, just apparently no consistency.

Wow finnaly something to be happy about this season, please let this be the start of a wildcard run.

eeedlef: Santana was electric tonight.

Both Santana and Schilling were great last night. Schilling kept matching Santana out for out, even though Santana had a more impressive way of getting the Sox out (13 strikeouts? Jebus).

10.5 games back from the White Sox, who are leading the wild card race right now. They have to cut it to 5 in the next month or so to have a chance.

13 Ks and a no decision? That's so F'ed up. If I were him, I would be asking for a trade.

That was a great game, other than the ending.

And lay off Taverez. He eats up innings.

/it's june

When he first hit it, I thought "fark, i hope that's a deep enough fly ball to score cuddyer." then it just kept going somehow.

/how come no talk about dome staff turning the fans on?

//extra funny: batista politely gets marney gellnar out of the way to gatorade kubel during an interview, then gets sent to AAA immediately following the game.

Mr_juche. He is an amazing pitcher, but he was going head to head with Curt Schilling. Both are amazing pitchers.

I'd ask for a trade anyways since the twins are going nowhere as of now. How about Boston? They need the pitching and are still tied for first in AL

Tavarez sucks. He has offically taken Edgar Rentaretards spot on my least favorite Sox list.

Wasn't Kubel supposed to be a monster like three years ago before he blew out his knee? Good to see him bouncing back.

Not as bad as the time Randy Johnson had 20 strikeouts and lost against the Reds

GimpyNip... worse than foulke? wow... the only people i can stand out of the sox bullpen are timlin and papelbon, otherwise its "how many runs do you want this inning? 2? 3?"

Nice try. Johnson got a no-decision, but the Diamondbacks won the game 4-3 in 11 innings. Boxscore here.

Hey, I hear Scott Erickson is available.

Brad_Will.... indeed.

apologies, i was going off a five year old memory.

Still more absurd than a 13 strikeout no-decision

Yeah, definitely. Johnson had the added bonus of not officially tying the record because the game went to extra innings.

All season we've had Santana to talk about.

I'm just hoping this is the start of a run to .500.

And on another note, it's kinda sad about Batista. Sounded like a nice guy, but I'll be the first to admit the Twins desperately need offense.

They should have kept Timlin in for just...one...more...
