hmmm...that list was deficient in the "Knife-wielding maniac" category.

2006-06-02 03:50:26 PM
For a second their I was going to complain that any list such as this that could exclude right-wing "we want to control all aspects of your life" nut-jobs could not possibly be worthwhile.

But then I realized they had hypocrites already listed, so I guess that base was covered after all.

2006-06-02 08:44:23 PM
Another example of why links to blogs should never be greenlit.

hmmm...

2006-06-02 10:13:09 PM
Yeah, this isn't very well written, and ignores the all-important category of "Absolute psychos you accidentally date."

I think that was one of the discarded talking points memos thrown out the window of John McCains bus, the "Straight Talk Express".

2006-06-02 10:23:12 PM
Yes, I'm sure that when the deaf girl (lip-reader, yes) at work was told by a customer that all disabled people should be killed Auschwitz-style, it was her insecurites that made her a sobbing wreck rather than what the customer had said.

2006-06-02 10:23:19 PM
Must be an exceptionally slow news day for this kind of thing to be greenlit...

/odd that - the Beeb had some quite interesting stuff.
// oh well
/// it isn't news, etc

2006-06-02 10:24:49 PM
Normal is a setting on a washing machine.

\somebody has anger management issues

2006-06-02 10:25:33 PM
Was that last type of person put there for the sake of irony? Were 1-9 just put there as a build up to the subtle self-deprecating irony of the 10th type of person? I don't know if we're in the presence of a budding genius or some halfwit 14 year old. Hard to tell.

2006-06-02 10:25:43 PM
By "normal" I think he means "conservative".

/bite it.

MurphyManifesto: Yes, I'm sure that when the deaf girl (lip-reader, yes) at work was told by a customer that all disabled people should be killed Auschwitz-style, it was her insecurites that made her a sobbing wreck rather than what the customer had said.

I think some of it is. To many people take things way way to personal. So that jackass customer said some really insane things deal with it and move on. Just because someone is a moron doesn't mean it should make you feel bad.

They left off noisy drug-addled not-hot lesbian strippers (3 of my neighbors). They are definitely disruptive to my lifestyle. Funny thing is that one of them told the landlords she was an accountant. Just 'cause you dressed like one in a porn flick doesn't give you that title. Oh, well. At least her sugah-daddy's buying her my window unit. I close on my new house in 3 weeks.

The number one spot should go to stupid oblivious incosiderate people. That demographic comprises about 90% of the population of Houston. Ignorance must be bliss - it's pretty farking popular.

2006-06-02 10:29:39 PM
I think all of the people numbers 1 through 10, and ESPECIALLY the blogger, should go die in a fire.

But that's just me...

/And I laughed and I laughed and I laughed when I typed it.

2006-06-02 10:30:29 PM
11. People that say "die in a fire".

2006-06-02 10:31:14 PM
Self-righteous douche-nozzles?
People with bad grammar?
People that think their kids are the only people in the world that matter and that we should all cater to them?
People that think competition breads insecurity?
People that spite the law just cus "the man has them down?"
People that think they have the right to smoke around other people? (Seriously man, let me just shoot you in the chest and we'll get it over with)
People that won't take responsibility for their actions.

#15
the small number of the same people who get in car accidents over and over because of bad driving causing the cost of insurance to rise for everyone else.

yes it's true. it is usually a small pool of repeat offenders not an "average" cross-section of drivers.

2006-06-02 10:32:37 PM
Anybody else see what I think was last week's Penn and Teller's Bullshiat on "manners"?

The author here reminds me of that guy they found who was an "expert" on "rudeness" and actually sold his services as an "expert" on how Americans were becoming more and more rude.

Then they took him out on the street so that he could point out examples of American rudeness, and he turned into the world's biggest asshole; constantly biatching and biatching and biatching about how everyone else was so obnoxious.

2006-06-02 10:33:21 PM
16. Farkers who trash on marriage cuz they failed at it 3 times and didn't learn a thing.

2006-06-02 10:33:37 PM
#12) People who don't assume responsibility and look for every opportunity to blame the rest of society for their problems. This is mainly aimed at stupid parents who shouldn't breed or have their gene pool bleached.

2006-06-02 10:34:09 PM
11. passive aggressive dorks.

2006-06-02 10:34:16 PM
LegionofBoom: "Just because someone is a moron doesn't mean it should make you feel bad."

Legion is right, she should have got -angry-. I don't care if he's a customer or what, saying something like that is bullshiat that would have earned the sayer an automatic cockpunch if I'm around.

If we as a society were more willing to take a swing at each other from time to time when it was honestly earned it'd be a much happier, healthier place.

2006-06-02 10:34:32 PM
Oops. Didn't see number 12. Make mine a 17 or 18 then. If we are to have a list it should be ordered properly to avoid dispute;)
