Wow, A team that doesn't belong as last years superbowl champs and a president who doesn't belong in the white house. A celebration of a bunch of assholes.

I like pissing off sycophantic Bush apologists.

/man up, connie freaks

No but he had an "Official Mafia Staff Car" bumpersticker.

So I know he's legit.

I work with a pro wrestler. Not in the WWF, though, but he is a professional. It's fake fake fake.

You can't fake the superbowl, only the probowl.

I am more upset about the win that Bush stole. At least the Steelers proved themselves as champions the game before having the superbowl handed to them on a platter by the refs.

Does anybody remeber this from when they were young?

Scccooorreebooaarrrddd... ssscccoorrreebbooaarrdddd...

Just wondering.

"So I know he's legit."

well then, i stand corrected.

did he tell you who's gonna win this year?

/you know, as a point of interest. i would NEVER gamble on sports....

Actually, yeah.

Sports fans, put all your money on the 2006 Champion Detroit Lions.

I wonder how Troy Polamalu feels about Bush getting his number.

/If Jerseys were cheaper, I'd own a #43 Steelers jersey.

Millionaire athletes, in a town built on the backs of hard working men and women, schmoozing with a millionaire president's son who claims to care about the middle class.

/That's irony!

I'll suggest a topic...

The Sea Hawks are a wuss team that jumped ship from the AFC because they couldn't hack it with the real teams. Discuss.

I hate to say it but the one thing Bush does know a lot about is sports.

As evidenced by his "I am a Texas Cowboy fan" statement...

No fan gets their team name wrong.

son of secret police: i laugh my ass off every time some tinfoil-hatter implies that The Game was rigged.

Game wasn't rigged, but the horrible official's calls gave Pittsburgh the game.

The media didn't say much about it, because getting Bettis a friggin ring was The Preferred Media Story.

Uh, guys, most of the people that are pointing out that the Super Bowl had bad officiating aren't even Seahawk fans!!. While Seahawk fans certainly still feel ripped, off, I'd wager fans of 30 other teams feel pretty ripped off by not having a decent Super Bowl where the officiating was transparent.

/can you remember so many controversial calls in any other SB?
//Seattle was the only AFC team that volunteered to go to the NFC. They were going to a tough division (save Arizona) and leaving one that was fairly weak (Denver lost Elway, K.C. was as uneven as always, and S.D. really was lost)

Steelers? More like STEALers ROFLOLOL

/Get it? 'cause they stole the Super Bowl

whizbangthedirtfarmer is right. I am in AZ so my hometown Cardinals are division rivals to the Seahawks. I hate the Seahawks and I wish ill fortune upon them and their progeny. And even _I_ will tell you right up: the refs screwed them, the Super Bowl was legitimately theirs to win. The media and the league wanted the Storybook Steelers to have their scripted ending so they made sure the refs made just the right calls at just the right times to tip the balance of the game.

2006-06-02 06:34:50 PM
Been in meetings all day...had to add this!

Where is the ironic tag? The Steelers won the Superbowl like Bush won the Presidency!

Zing!

/Steelers are weak, they won't always have the refs on their side.

I know what you mean! The way those refs had Jerramy Stevens drop those passes over and over again was criminal. And the way they told Hasselbeck to run around in the waning moments of the half like a headless chicken? Inexcusable!

Do you get the feeling that someone just cuts and pastes all of the "I hate George Bush" threads?

Been reading Fark for years, and have never seen anything original. It's like the weekly dues of the bleeding heart club is to post at least one "I hate Dubya" post - just to remind everyone that they hate Bush.

/Fark needs a "rolls eyes" avatar

I take it you don't get to watch alot of football down there then. The refs didn't screw them. The Steelers played bad, but the Seahawks just didn't play well enough to win. There wasn't an abnormal amount of flags thrown, but the hawks' were one of the lowest penalized teams last season. Ever consider they could have an 'off' game. As for the media darling Steelers, the Seahawks were a beige team. They didn't have any 'characters', nothing really made them stand out. You can't tell me the media wouldn't have been all over 'First Championship for the city in any sport' story. The Seahawks definately have a decent team, but when you have the 28th easiest schedule (for the 06' season actually), they are a tad overrated.

/Get over it.

Seattle got screwed, and it eats Steelers fans up to know that nobody outside of Pittsburgh considers their Super Bowl win to be legitimate.

Weak?

Care to do a comparison of 'strength of schedule' against your favorite corporate team?

Sadly, he's in charge here.

Seattle Miami got screwed, and it eats Steelers Buckeye fans up to know that nobody outside of Pittsburgh Columbus considers their Super Bowl BCS Championship win to be legitimate.

Sound familiar there WoodyHayes?

Hey A-holes, back off the Steelers. They are the only team in the NFL who's owner's (The Rooneys) support the democratic party. As far as the Superbowl, your continued pain only makes me happier. Write me "off list" and I'll send my address to come kiss my arse.

Maybe they'd be all over it, but they'd also be wrong.

(Check out my name for a hint. Also check out a review of the 1979 NBA season. While we're at it, check out the 1991 college football season. Nice try though.)

MrLint yeah, the Generals were due!

Oviously the submitter has the Prez mixed w/ my Estimed Senior Senator, Chuckie Schumer. He was the one who held his mini Stanley Cup upside down at the UB graduation yak-fest.
