Cool, get their kids to pay them.

2006-05-03 06:18:03 AM
And out of that they can pay taxes, room, board, utilities, etc.

Oh, wait, that's what her husband is doing for her.

See, that's why marriage is an agreement between two people to work as a team to raise a family.

Women get paid for working now? What kind of crazy talk is this?

2006-05-03 06:26:34 AM
Survey Says, that's bullshiat Bob

2006-05-03 06:30:17 AM
My wife is taking care of our 3 kids (1, 2 and 10 yrs old) alone while i'm deployed. Her contributions to our 'agreement' is worth twice that, IMO.

2006-05-03 06:46:24 AM
What about stay-at-home dads?

2006-05-03 06:54:26 AM
working dads deserve $268,242 in salary, to put up with their wife's shiat.

2006-05-03 07:10:40 AM
Stay-at-home dads deserve $402,363 just because men deserve to get paid more.

Yeah, like that's going to happen

2006-05-03 08:10:04 AM
No. They don't. Go cook me a steak biatch.

2006-05-03 08:14:13 AM
That's good pay for a job that requires no training.

2006-05-03 08:22:02 AM
What about the moms that work during the day, and take care of the kid and home at night because the dead beat dads don't contribute shiat to anything because they're cowardly, lazy, irresponsible F*cks that CAN shirk their responsibility off?

/is bitter
/deserves an obvious tag

Why is your baby flicking me off?

And they should have chosen a better man toots

Any chance that I can get an extra $50 for taking out the trash, making dinner and doing the dishes? Oh, and I cleaned out the guinea pig cage too - that's another $2.50.

If you read the article they have an estimated price for them too.

And it takes two people to make a relationship like that- if you let him get away with it, some guys will.

/that's a seriously cute baby in your profile :-)

submitter: Study: stay-at-home mothers deserve $134,121 a year in salary

They *deserve* it, eh? Well now! Just wait until my friends at work hear abour this. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to find out that those people deserve to be paid $134k a year, while we're making a craptacular $25k.

By the way, this so-called "study" can eat my ass.

damn... missed the /b...

That's why I outsourced my stay-at-home wife to China.

Ha ha ha!

That's why I hired an illegal immigrant to raise my kids!

housekeeper, day-care teacher, cook, computer operator, laundry machine operator, janitor, facilities manager, van driver, chief executive and psychologist.

Hmm, you don't think they skewed the results with specifically chosen jobs to drive the cost higher, do you? I mean, they would have reduced the job to the actual fraction of the day they perform the task, adjusted for days they don't perform that task, then factored in that many of those actions are done with the support of their husband, and that the husband typically shares the burden once he get home.

Well, duh... if you're just going to say they deserve minimum wage for "ALL" the work they do... then it'll be so boring, and it wouldn't show up on Fark.

/Not that I have a bias or anything...
//My mom works 8 hours a day, and still cook & cleans...
///Not for me, but damn that would be nice...

2006-05-03 10:04:09 AM
Did they include the $8 and a candy bar she earns when she gives a blowjob?

2006-05-03 10:24:28 AM
I hope this happens.
I can easily start charging my wife for sex.
/It's cool. She'll get a Preferred Client Card

2006-05-03 10:27:31 AM
And here my woman does it just to keep from getting punched.

What a world...

2006-05-03 10:28:51 AM
I'm seriously at a loss as to why anyone would ever get married.

2006-05-03 10:29:23 AM
My wife stayed home until both kids were old enough to get into school, and it's an investment I'm very happy with.

2006-05-03 10:30:42 AM
OK, so why didn't I get that much when I was teaching?

I dare any stay-at-home mother to put up with some of the crap teachers have to endure during the course of a day.

2006-05-03 10:31:06 AM
Women whining about something stupid??? You don't say!

2006-05-03 10:31:22 AM
nauteeprincess

What about the moms that work during the day,

Are you implying that you are working right now, on Fark?

2006-05-03 10:32:20 AM
They'd just spend it on makeup and shoes anyway.

2006-05-03 10:32:24 AM
I'm seriously at a loss as to why anyone would ever get married.

Kids, man.. Kids. And the stuff that happens in between marriage and kids.

I wonder what the statistics are on mothers who are getting married while pregnant, soley because of the tremendous negative connotations involved.

I would imagine its a staggering amount.

2006-05-03 10:32:59 AM
Considering that a nanny is basically a hired mother, reality would seem to contradict this study. I'm not aware of too many nannies that are paid six figure incomes. At least not in US dollars.

2006-05-03 10:33:14 AM
Q: Why do women have shorter feet than men?

A: So they can stand closer to all major appliances.

2006-05-03 10:33:25 AM
This "study" is ridiculous. I love how they list all the jobs a stay at home parent would do. What kind of time are they assigning to each of these tasks? Obivously they shouldn't be paid full time wages for each of them. And how about "computer operator"? What the shiat is that? I use a computer so I get paid? What kind of a job is that - the title makes no sense. And I've know a lot of parents who definitely do not have the abilities to be a "psychologist" or "chief executive". These things always fill me with rage.

2006-05-03 10:34:17 AM
Sign my wife up. She works her ass off outside the home, and would love to stay home, and get a raise.

2006-05-03 10:34:21 AM
Stay at home mothers deserve nothing, its a choice.

2006-05-03 10:34:55 AM
Right, because people are payed what they are worth...

Ya gots twos kindas peoples in dis here world...

People who are not paid enough.

People who are payed about 200 times too much.

2006-05-03 10:35:01 AM
"You're fired!"

/I would fire her as she doesn't suck when she is supposed to
//And complains.
///And leaves the gas tank empty for me to fill.
////Ha. I'm not married nor would make a good wife.

2006-05-03 10:35:16 AM
That's okay. Cause a nice, firm slap on the can from me costs about $134,121 anyways.

2006-05-03 10:35:22 AM
let me guess, this "study" is done by the same type of "research" that gave us the "US companies to lose $3.5 billion because of march madness" study.

/seems less like a scientific study and more like a publicity stunt.

2006-05-03 10:35:31 AM
This is the sort of crap story that gives the stay at home Mom the ammunition to start a fight the second her poor husband walks in the door, territory already staked out by Oprah and her creation Dr. Phil.

2006-05-03 10:35:38 AM
And many mothers perform this job for free?

I seriously have to wonder why they would do that.

... no I don't.

Now all someone, and I don't mean me, needs to do is put a price tag on the joy and sense of fulfillment a little rugrat can give a mom, and Bob will be, will have been, and for ever more will continue being, your uncle.

2006-05-03 10:36:16 AM
The whole "study" looks to be a heap of crap. CEO? WTF? And why isn't prostitute in there. That should be worth about $400 for 15 minutes of work.

2006-05-03 10:36:50 AM
What about the stay home mothers who sleep until noon, dont work, live off child support and the government and dress their kids in rags? What should a divorced father get compensated for?

2006-05-03 10:36:51 AM
And who is going to pay the mom this salary? oh yeah the DAD who is working is farking ASS off to give the kids their toys and his wife the jewelry and the clothes that don't make her look fat when she really is.

this article sucks farts out of a puckered bung

2006-05-03 10:37:01 AM
Deadbeat dad beat dead?

jndisharif: My wife is taking care of our 3 kids (1, 2 and 10 yrs old) alone while i'm deployed. Her contributions to our 'agreement' is worth twice that, IMO.

But to be fair, the kids don't shoot at her.

2006-05-03 10:37:10 AM
I had a new driveway poured last week. Later, I found the 3 year old neighbor girl on her bike in my wet cement. I escorted the little girl 2 doors down to where her "stay at home" mom supposedly was and rang the doorbell. About 60 seconds later (which is way too long, IMO) the kid's mom answers the door still talking on her cellphone. She had been in the far back of the house yapping while her 3 year old was riding her bike in the farking street.

I toldd her that I found the kid in my wet cement. She picked the little girl up, without hanging up the phone I might add, and said to her:

"I told you to stay off of there!"

I said:
"You told THE 3 YEAR OLD to stay off of wet cement?!?
Yeah, I'm sure that stuck.
Right up there with "flower" and "doggy"."

That kid could have been run over by a truck and that broad wouldn't have even known it for 5 minutes at a bare minimum.

Not all stay at home moms are hard workers. Some shouldn't even be moms.

/end rant.
