Man, Buckner had plenty of time to pick that ball up... it was sitting there right in front of him.

/reading too much into this

2006-04-10 04:47:06 PM
How cool is that?

2006-04-10 05:13:48 PM
I thought that the ball went through Buckners legs... and that the second basemen didn't come up to cover first.

I'd say that this video is entirely inaccurate.

Slungsolow: I'd say that this video is entirely inaccurate.

I think it's Nintendo Baseball also and not RBI Baseball.

NHL '95, PGA '95, RBI Baseball and Baseball All-Stars were so much more fun to play than virtually any of the new hyper-realistic sports games.

I don't remember the spiked hair.

Damn that was good.
That must have taken a lot of work, but it was fun to see.

I really liked the Miller Light Player of the game segment.

It cracked me up.

Though I have to say, It must have sucked if you were at the game, and counted the Mets out, and left early.

You would have missed a great comeback.

FOBL: NHL '95, PGA '95, RBI Baseball and Baseball All-Stars were so much more fun to play than virtually any of the new hyper-realistic sports games.

Damn straight. Maybe it's just me, but I felt MUCH more in control playing the old games than I do in these new fangled ones.

The game is actaully Extra Innings for the SNES, I actually have that cartridge and still love to school people at it from time to time.

That is *most definitely* RBI 3. You who feel otherwise are terribly confused.

That was amazing vid.
Looking back I don't know how I spent so many hours playing eight bit video games.

2006-04-10 07:09:11 PM
Huh, I never realized there were 56 combined strikeouts in that game.

2006-04-10 07:09:36 PM
Two things:

1) Greatest baseball game for the NES:

2)Doesn't that record seem a bit low to be going to a game 7?

I keed of course, the whole thing was put together very well and that Miller Lite segment made me laugh out loud. Props to the artist.

NHL '95, PGA '95, RBI Baseball and Baseball All-Stars were so much more fun to play than virtually any of the new hyper-realistic sports games.

Don't forget NBA Jam. I hate basketball, but I loved that game to an insane degree.

Bases Loaded was my choice for nes baseball game. But, I loved how, in RBI baseball, you could bunt and it would roll all the way to the outfield wall. I did that once against a friend; his chubby pitcher chased it all the way and couldn't catch it. I got an in-field homer from a bunt.

2006-04-10 07:22:28 PM
That is MOST DEFINETLY RBI baseball. I played too many hours of it not to know. I would bet every single penny I have on that fact, at ANY odds, even 10000000000-1. =)

I'd be one rich muthafarker.

2006-04-10 07:23:53 PM
That was cool.

2006-04-10 07:26:43 PM
Randal2477 is right: That is RBI Baseball for the NES. Look it up if you don't believe. Find some screens. It's RBI Baseball, and I played it all summer one year.

2006-04-10 07:28:14 PM
how much farking time do you have to have on your hands to want to edit something like that together?

My hat is off to the artist

2nd thought, how much farking time do you have to have on your hands to come across something like that on google video?

Badass. All the little touches really made that badass. The play-by-play timing was tight but the little details like player names or the billboard really delivered that shiat.

2006-04-10 07:31:50 PM
pretty amazing... makes you wonder how Boston fans could've blamed a stupid curse or Buckner himself when, in reality, Schiraldi & Stanley pitched pretty poorly, and they had a whole other game after that....

I've always said that the true purpose of the Internet was to put people with too much time on their hands in touch with people who would appreciate the efforts of people with too much time on their hands. This proves it.

Brav-o.
