Last year I went to the Steelers game in San Diego. Every time I see the words San Diego now, I can't get that stupid song out of my head.

I wish wish wish the Texans would draft Vince Young.

But, I know they won't. They would rather take Reggie Bush.

Oh well, nuts to them! Charlie Casserly should have been fired, but I guess going 2-14 last season saved him from the axe.

Oh yeah, Vince supposedly got a bad score on a 12 minute 50 question multiple choice test. His whole college career is now worthless!!

Agreed. If the Wonderlick is such a great test, than why is Carr so pitiful after scoring well on it?

Browns gotta play Steelers twice in 3 weeks, the second game being a Thursday nighter on a short week. But we get the Palmerless Bengals early.

/TG we will have a 70% BEdwards back for the Super Thieves.

Champs get 11 days off between their first two games, before "short" week for Game 3 grudge match. Three tough games to start the season, looks like they may need that bye week in Week 4. Overall, looks like a good year for a repeat.

Buufoo, Yeah, that's the funny. Go ahead and let them beat the Cardinals, since they'll lose on Oct. 8 and can't win in the playoffs anyway.

/Go Stillers!

Yup, but I'm kinda glad they're sticking behind Carr. We'll see how it pays off. One player isn't going to carry the team.

Gotta disagree on keeping David Carr.

I think he will eventually be a good quarterback, but never for the Texans.

He has been hit too many times and now he is scared to throw the ball.

Also, look at his rating/TD/interception ratio from last year.

Preeety preeety bad.

Carr has no offensive line in front of him, and the front office in Houston is apparently run by a bunch of 12 year old football fans who don't know the first thing about building an offense.

In Madden, if you scramble with your quarterback all the time, sacks don't get recorded, so your line winds up with 0 sacks allowed, and 19 billion pancakes - even the low statted ones... they improve to 99s in like 2 years. Houston knows what they're doi -

Oh right.

2006-04-06 02:59:37 PM
Vince Young may turn out to be ok, Cutler - no. Leinart, probably. Keep your eyes out for Barrick Neely out of Texas State, whoever drafts that kid is going to be the steal of the draft.

I doubt any of them will win the ring in their 2nd year though...

As a Giants fan allow to say that our schedule has 4-12 written all over it.

Anyone else find it weird that that Giants and Jets both play Indy at home three weeks apart?

2006 Redskins
-----------

Sep 11 Minnesota
Sep 17 @Dallas
Sep 24 @Houston
Oct 1 Jacksonville
Oct 8 @N.Y. Giants
Oct 15 Tennessee
Oct 22 @Indianapolis
Week 8 BYE
Nov 5 Dallas
Nov 12 @Philadelphia
Nov 19 @Tampa Bay
Nov 26 Carolina
Dec 3 Atlanta
Dec 10 Philadelphia
Dec 17 @New Orleans
Dec 24 @St. Louis
Dec 30 N.Y. Giants

Observations (all are based "on paper"):

- Second year in a row playing the headline game for week 2 @Dallas, even though last year the game was atrocious up until the very end (when everyone was asleep)

- Stretch from week 9 to 14 (DAL, @PHI, @TB, CAR, ATL, PHI) is absolutely brutal (on paper at least, obviously).

- Weeks 14-17 (@NO, @STL, NYG) is zzzzzzzzz. Why do the skins always have to play St. Louis?

2006-04-06 03:04:07 PM
Leinhart is going to probaly the Titans, so McNair probaly ends up on the Packers because Favre is going to quit before the season starts, V. Young either a raider or the cardinals.

Really cool...if they can work something out for MNF now, all will be perfect...

FLEX SCHEDULING TO ARRIVE FOR SUNDAY NIGHTS

When the NFL announces it 2006 regular season schedule on Thursday, there will be a hole on several of the late-season Sunday nights. Specifically, in seven of the last eight weeks, there will be no Sunday night games scheduled. Instead, all games in those weekends will be slated to start at 1:00, 4:00, or 4:15 p.m. Eastern time, and the league will announce as the date approaches the game that will appear on NBC's Sunday night broadcast.

FOX and CBS will be able to protect a total of five games from the switch to Sunday night, but no more than one per week.

The move will go a long way toward sparing football fans from games that looked great on paper in April but turned out to be turds as one or both of the teams involved have disappointing seasons. However, ESPN will be stuck with the schedule of Monday night games announced on Thursday, with no chance to pull a switcheroo.

FLEX SCHEDULING TO ARRIVE FOR SUNDAY NIGHTS

I dunno. I flew to Denver and Green Bay with exact dates last year to watch the Jets-Broncos and the Packers-Vikings games. If they start moving stuff around and I've got plane tickets and hotel rooms, I'm gonna be choked.

I was kinda hoping a Jets/Pats game would be at Christmas so I could take the girlfriend for Christmas in New York or Boston, but drinking and watching the Jets on Christmas night is going to be awesome either way.

Easy for you to say! You probably live within an hour of an NFL team!

The Bears have been around in one form or another since 1919 and have won a total of 9 league titles including 8 NFL Championships and THE superbowl (superbowl XX). The Bears also have more team members placed in the hall of fame then any other team with 26.

/sounds pretty storied to me...
