This doesn't have anything to do with Bill Cosby does it?

Someday I will be as smart as Mike! =+)

P.S.
If this is the case, just imagine how smart Mike would REALLY BE if he didn't kill his brain with those evil, evil roller coasters !!!

Explains a lot, really...

Why I laugh?

I wonder what these people's position on hot coffee is. Sounds like money grubbing at work.

The Indy ride is bumpy but if it causes a brain hemorage, I'm guessing there was something seriously wrong before.

2002-06-05 12:48:41 PM
Yeah, I read about this yesterday...scary stuff!

"Massachusetts Rep. Ed Markey, who has catalogued 58 brain injuries..."

...and he hasn't even started checking the Senate yet!

G-Force. That was a great cartoon.

But seriously, yet another example of "America the victim" and every victim has a lawyer.

2002-06-05 12:50:01 PM
Well, that explains a lot about my personal life.

BTW, I LIKE being at 3Gs for extended periods. I rode this one thing at Cedar Point over and over, drunk...

Do they really cause Dain Brammage..?

". The space shuttle maxes out at less than four Gs, but some parks used to brag that their coasters fleetingly topped six Gs"

And of those people who have brain damage due to roller coaster ride , %100 of them post on Fark.com.

2002-06-05 12:52:31 PM
"Some researchers say rapid jerking of the head could be far more dangerous than G-forces"

Especially if the security guys catch you doing it on the coaster. (Not to mention getting it in the eye on a downhill stretch.)

2002-06-05 12:52:49 PM
That goes along nicely with the anneurism you suffer when you see the ticket price for a Single-Day Disneyland pass.

you use lavoz reeds, Alto? I was never too impressed with their clarinet reeds; V12s are the way to go.

Thankyou,
I am now choking on my bagel.

Well I think we need a National G-Spot Standard. For too long G-spots have been ignored causing possible brain damage or worse. These spots need to be identified and stimulated as quickly as possible.

"A nice day at the amusement park can become a nightmare for the rest of your life."

Everything you do can become a nightmare for the rest of your life, if you're the one dumbass in 320 million people that somehow gets injured doing something perfectly safe. Walking your dog can become a nightmare if you fall off a bridge while you're doing it. And that one dumbass always somehow believes that somebody owes them a settlement because life wasn't fair enough for them. shiat happens (yes even brain damage) and people always seem to cry foul when it does. Why is there this expectation that everything will be perfect? Where does it come from? On a semi-related note, I hope Lance Bass gets brain damage during takeoff if he goes into space. Might deter these prissy space tourists in the future.

Stubblyhead Actually, I moved on to Van Doren. But ha ha, you have now fallen into my trap and admitted yourself to be a clarinet player--ha ha ha ha! You are a loser! Ha ha ha ha...

Oh, wait, I play saxophone. Never mind. You may go about your business.

(count down to "This one time at band camp" jokes in 4...3...2...)

58 injuries in twelve years. 320,000,000 rides/year.
Injury rate: .0000015104167%
Damn, that IS dangerous.

I think I have brain damage after reading that stupid article! I would do the math on the ratio of brian injuries to total number of riders if I were not already brain damaged.

The odds are much greater that I will drive into the great garage in the sky on my way home after work.

Talk about a farking slow news day. . . .

You know what would really be Ironinc?

If the guy who made the roller coaster, rode it and got brain damage. And this brain damage caused him to think that the roller coaster was too slow, so he sped it up and rode it again and got more brain damage, and again thought it was too slow so he sped the roller coaster up. And it went on like this until he had so much brain damage he became a super-criminal and had a head that looked like those aliens from that Star Trek episode where the first captain of the Enterprise was held and his thoughts and perceptions were altered.
