matt4684: Hmmm. Let's explore what the "46" in my username could possibly indicate. Hmmm.

Your 46cm beanpole, perhaps!

Our third child was born on December 28, but then his younger brother was born on Christmas. We've always maintained the elder's birthday as completely separate from Christmas, but sure enough this past year we couldn't get as many of the local relatives to come over on the 28th.

Since he's turning 6 this year, I'm going to be more persuasive that he not get shortchanged again.

why is this news? This kind of thing happens a lot more frequently than you would think...maybe not with three siblings, but with two as many have stated. In my own family, my dad and his brother were born on the same day 11 years apart, and my fiance and his sister were born on the same day 2 years apart.

Does someone have numbers on this? It seems like it wouldn't be that much different than that thing where you only need to have 30 people in a room to get two with the same birthday....

My brother and I have the same birthday and our younger brother was due on the same day but stayed in for another 6 days. To quote "Contact", Dad was a "helluva an engineer". He actually is a retired manufacturing engineer.

I'm one of 7 kids (no multiples). #1 sister and #2 brother share the same birthday, only 3 years apart -- April 3rd. Sister was not thrilled losing the attention since she ended up being the oldest with 6 younger brothers.

My aunt is 2/19, I'm 2/20, and my mom is 2/21. Always thought that was a little weird.

This is stranger than most of you are making it out to be. I mean, ok, the people posting here ALL have "coincidental" birthdates or know of them or whatever.

What about the people who glanced at the article, went, "meh, weird," and moved on 'cause it had no relevance to them.

The sample sucks. Someone greenlight a thread that says, "Guy wears green shirt on friday" and you'll get a disproportional amount of people going, "OMG ME TOO!!!"

kremuliks: ZOMG that's my birthday!

xtex: Scary... that's my birthday, too.

additional info that they probably didn't have in the article (drtfa - lived it already) was that "mum's/dad's birthday" was exactly 9 months before theirs. I know my mum's was.

yup - April 6 here too. Wow - who knew there were so many Arieses on Fark. Oh wait, an Aries by definition is a farking prick.. and, well, that makes sense here...

Bias

Emergency contraception does NOT have "a tiny amount of the drug that causes abortions in it". It contains ONE ingredient: levonorgestrel - a synthetic progestin. This does not cause abortions. Please consider your words before you post such things here.
