If this is the kind of representation he gives to himself, imagine how his former clients are feeling right now? Especially the ones that are rotting in jail...

Smells like "Immediate grounds for a retrial based on the obvious mental incapacity of counsel."

/ohwhatever I dont' know what I'm talking about.

Did someone say camwhores?

He really does look like a terribly unpleasant person.

They should cast him as himself in the Lifetime movie they'll make about this case. But I have a feeling he'll be busy tossing Leron's salad.

Ms. Peel testifed that Gary Peel stuck sexually explicit photos in her mailbox to prove he carried on with her 16-year-old sister 32 years ago.

dude, 32 years ago the sister would have been -16.

Okay, me and some friends have been arguing about this type of thing for a while now...If he had had sex with the girl in a state where the legal age of consent was 16 (i.e. Michigan) can he be charged with statutory rape since she's considered a "minor"(under the age of 18)? I keep saying no, but some keep telling me that it's different if the other person is above the age of 21 or so. Anyone have an answer and/or a way to show it for nay sayers?

Wow. I thought I was in the most farked up divorce of the century. I stand corrected.

When I was divorced, the lawyers (mine and the ex's) kept stirring the pot, just to sweeten their cut. They became partners ONE week after the final decree. ONE WEEK! My butt was sore for a month! Sad thing. I had to pay for em both.

The question is not, what is the statute of limitations on child porn.

But, what is the statute of limitations on statutory rape?

Well, first you'd have to know what was considered statutory rape 32 years ago. Those ages have changed considerably in recent years -- I reached the legal age of consent at 14! So I suspect that sex may have been perfectly legal for them at the time.

I think it's part of the Maginot Line, the extensive defensive fortifications that France built after WW1. When WW2 rolled around, the Germans just drove around / flew over the damn things.

I don't know how to spell it correctly off the top of my head..but it's just a station among stations in a huge project the French embarked apon after WWI and before WWII. The Maginot Line. The french poured money into this defense system near their border with Germany. Went all out on it's design and capabilities...undergorund rail systems..bunkers...living quarters...mostly all of it connected for miles apon miles. This would SURELY stop GERMANY from INVADING AGAIN.

WWII, Germans simply fly over the thing. And by then, Larger tanks and other military vehicles were able to navigate the terrain that they didn't build the defense wall over. Chalk it up to French Military (lack of) Success stories.
