2002-06-02 01:59:37 PM
Are bidets only supposed to be used by women?? Someone told me that. I've never used one.

2002-06-02 01:59:42 PM
...the prototype is realistic, depending on your income bracket. Uh huh.

Repeat or not, it's still not in MY budget.

2002-06-02 02:00:32 PM
LordWatson - no, they are used by both men and women.

2002-06-02 02:00:37 PM
Why is this stupid? Because they are building a prototype house to advance concepts of technology can be used in everyday life? Yeah, that's stupid alright.

2002-06-02 02:04:04 PM
Bidet? What's a bidet?

Oooh, this fancy hotel even has a drinking fountain in the bathroom!

2002-06-02 02:08:32 PM
What happens when this stuff blue screens? "Hit Couch, Chair, Table to restart your house"

*laughin'* BunnyX - I have never been more curious about something the first time I encountered one. I think they should have their go on Fear Factor.

So, in the future, we won't have to use the bathroom anymore?

Cool.

2002-06-02 02:17:50 PM
I'd rather get an Apple home.

2002-06-02 02:19:45 PM
Pete and Re-peat were on a boat. Pete fell off. Who was left?

Wouldn't want to be around when the septic tank crashes.

2002-06-02 02:19:51 PM
The thought of my home crashing is just... scary.

2002-06-02 02:21:32 PM
Okay... how come repeats come through when so many other links are rejected? The terrorists have won.

2002-06-02 02:22:25 PM
Moderators at Fark out of ideas, start posting duplicate links. France surrenders.

2002-06-02 02:22:41 PM
I'm afraid I'll have to steal that idea Heather.

I'd rather get an Apple home.

You're kidding, right?

An Apple home would be the coolest looking home on the block, but it would be built out of 10 inch thick steel. Don't even think about expansion unless you like outbuildings.

The guy trying to sell you the Apple home would show you many graphs and charts that all say the Apple home is better than Intel-based homes, but all the data is based on Photoshop.

The Apple home has two rooms, the bathroom and the living room. Responding to concerns over this, Apple unleashes a massive "The Number-of-Rooms Myth" campaign showing that two rooms is actually better than four or more.

Spending too much time in the bathroom causes the toilet to crash. You must exit the bathroom, increase the bathroom's resource limits, and re-enter the bathroom. If you complain, the salesguy will offer to sell you an upgrade to Apple Home X.

As an Apple Homeowner, you'll be required to be snobby towards other homeowners. Be sure to get copies of the graphs and charts from the salesman.

from the post: Watch out for those toilet BSODs.
from the article: In fact there's no bathroom at all.

i guess we don't have to worry, do we?

oh, and yeah, repeat.

2002-06-02 02:45:08 PM
Bwahaha, this is just too funny to be true. I wouldn't trust those guys to scrub my floor, let alone run my whole house. I guess there'll be intrusive flashing billboards all over the celing and stupidly expensive rip off licence fees to pay every year for bug fixes when their crappy software messes up.

This is due to the rooms being twice as big...

2002-06-02 02:50:58 PM
It's not a bug, it's a feature!

2002-06-02 02:52:26 PM
Wait which side was I on?

I think I'll just get a monolithic dome.

2002-06-02 02:52:50 PM
Cant be as bad as that self cleaning house I saw. How does it clean itself? by closing all shelfspace and spraying SCALDING HOT SOAPY WATER all over the inside of the house, then blowing heated air around till it all dries up.

"Lemme out*YARGH!*I'm all clean and boiled now."

2002-06-02 02:53:28 PM
Hey, at least you get to shiat on Microsoft now...

2002-06-02 03:37:27 PM
somone should come up with a fark repeat tag for things like this crap

2002-06-02 03:45:38 PM
technically, shouldn't that be "BSsOD"?

2002-06-02 04:01:39 PM
"I'm honored to accept your waste."

"The toliet recommended a place called America Town."

2002-06-02 04:28:25 PM
So now Microsoft is trying to copyright houses?

2002-06-02 04:44:08 PM
I'd rather have a Linux home.

Woo penguins!

2002-06-02 04:55:41 PM
``We didn't build a real (bathroom) because it wouldn't be like the one you would have in your home,'' he said.

Ummm...Huh? You mean it wouldn't have a toilet, sink, and bath/shower?
*contemplates*
*Light bulb appears above head*
OHHHH...they're going to 'integrate' all three, to make our lives easier..
*contemplates*
*Light bulb burns out*
EEWWWWW!!! XP is bad enough...

2002-06-02 05:04:09 PM
Maxzero - I know a guy who uses his bathtub/shower as a sink and pisses in there. Does that count? :P
I don't know if he also takes a dump in there too, and frankly, I'd too scared to ask. :P

2002-06-02 05:14:22 PM
In the event of crashes you'd have to get out of your house then come back in. That doesn't explain how to fix things or what's broken, but it's "good enough for anybody".

Of course given the inevitability of frequent, chronic crashing with M$ products, you'd have to rebuild your home every 8 months or, but that's a small price to pay according to BillG.

2002-06-02 05:56:28 PM
Next thing you know these houses are going to be all over Morpheus. Crazy bootleggers.

Yes, the Apple home salesperson would tell you that the house was 200% better, but he would leave out that it would cost 400% more. You could build 3-4 of the Microsoft houses for the price of the Apple House X.

2002-06-02 07:01:28 PM
the real reason they didnt build the bathroom is because they couldnt figure out how to reboot a toliet when it got the blue screen of death...

2002-06-02 07:12:49 PM
Again? Didn't they do this last week?

2002-06-03 04:03:02 AM
