a well-crafted headline is a thing of beauty. Well done submitter.

Darwin wins again!

/sometimes I hate my state

Sometimes I hate it when I don't RTFA correctly, too. Actually, Darwin sez "Missed it by that much."

I wonder if they did the "twinkle toes" when the skylight broke?

This place is an abandoned structure that used to manufacture park equipment.

I find that img.fark.com.

They'll now sue the building owners for damages.

Uzzah, you said and thought what I could not. I thank you for the chuckle.

Couldnt find any pictures from when bart and milhouse have the warehouse.

2006-03-15 06:18:53 PM
Though the kids were dumb for falling through the skylight, the idea sounds cool though (making an illegal skatepark out of an old, unused building). Seems alot better than the ideas we get around here in Suburb New Jersey, "Hey, lets tear that beach arcade down (e.g. Belmar Playland) and put several McMansions in it's place."

2006-03-15 06:21:38 PM
Thx for the vid, I didn't know what a skylight was. I do now.

I never did anything that stupid when i was 10.

I used to live in Coral Springs and I actually know exactly the building that they are referring to. You would have to be a real dumbass (as evidenced by their actions) to go in there. About half the building was torn away in the last hurricane and they haven't even attempted to fix it yet.

Kudos to you kids and kudos again.

2006-03-15 06:30:24 PM
The Darwin sht doesn't really apply to kids, so quit being such jerks about it. Everytime anyone anywhere makes a mistake the same pictures of Darwin get trotted out. These kids were doing what kids are hard wired to do: screw around and cheat death.

Oy!

Monkey's Knuckle

Actually I think it applies even more. If they kill themselves by doing something stupid they will be much more likely to take themselves out of the gene pool, since they probably haven't spawned any more little bastards yet.

/love the headline

Monkey's Knuckle: The Darwin sht doesn't really apply to kids

Huh? how does it not apply to kids? Less stupid in the gene-pool makes Darwin happy. Whether they're adults or not. (yes, I know they survived)

2006-03-15 06:56:43 PM
I'm sorry they survived, and I'm sorry about the stupid lawsuit their idiot parents will file any time now.

What are two 10 year old boys doing at an abandoned warehouse?

Parents of the year

2006-03-15 06:58:09 PM
Too bad the farking kids aren't dead
They were basically trying to break something that didn't
belong to them, all too prevalent today.
No respect for other people's property....

2006-03-15 06:59:47 PM
p.s. re the Simpson's episode
Bart owned the building, he bought it at a tax sale he-he

2006-03-15 07:02:59 PM
Nobody mentions that children who survive stupid activities may prematurely develop survival skills.
This will result in their 'stupid genes' being propagated to future generations.
Also, if partially handicapped, they may not enjoy the opprotunity to be killed participating in sporting events.

2006-03-15 07:03:44 PM
This is funny because no 10 year olds have ever done something stupid before. Most have college degrees after all.

Anyone who claims they didn't do something stupid as a kid is lying or a complete shut-in.

I always worry about that now when I post a link... How am I supposed to know if there are NSFW ads? Boot up windows and check in IE?

/partially kidding... I see some ads, and generally have a good idea when a site is NSFW... but I have posted a link before not realizing it... and I don't see anything nsfw in that link

I vote for complete shut-in. Jeez. What the fark did all you "Darwinists" do when you were 10? Dressing up in mommy's clothes and having tea parties while wearing helmets?

2006-03-15 07:29:05 PM
If only there could be such serious consequences for jumping up and down on Intellectural Property! Then file sharing of music and Michale Jackson videos would have the consequences Gawd Intended! John Darwin would be pleased too!

What the fark did all you "Darwinists" do when you were 10? Dressing up in mommy's clothes and having tea parties while wearing helmets?

that reminds me of the time when I was ten, dressed up in mommy's clothes, with my safety helmet on, having a tea party with my bestist friend kevin in an old abandoned warehouse. When suddenly, through the skylight!...

/the horror

2006-03-15 07:57:05 PM
The best part of the article is the end where it mentions that there was a fence around the property but the kids managed to get in "somehow" anyway. How the fark did they do it, is one of them a descendant of Houdini??? Kids getting past fences??!? Get the fark out of town.

/sarcasm

snarfyboy: Anyone who claims they didn't do something stupid as a kid is lying or a complete shut-in.

I did a whole mess of stupid back when I was a kid.

Lying, Skipping School (two weeks straight), Shrooms, smokes, al-key-hal, fights, stealing, vandalism, running in a pool area, bicycling without a helmet, skateboarding, arson.. shiat, man, I'm surprised I'm still alive.

//My only regret is not macking on the chicks enough

2006-03-15 08:05:24 PM
cody1234 you stole it right out of my thought bubble. Yes I did stupid crap also when I was 10 but man why not just tell the kids to go play in traffic?

Huzzah for the Submitter. I El Oh Eled.
