Oh, and an ed tech isn't really a teacher. In Maine, the ed techs are the ones who keep the "special" kids under control. Interestingly, if I recall correctly, you don't even need a degree to be one--just a highschool diploma.

My mother [ not hot ] did some long-term substitute work as an ed tech for a while, and she didn't have a degree. Nor did she bang any of the students, as far as I know.
