This is the second consecutive year Williams has spent at least a month in India studying.

Seriously tho - there is something called 'extreme clean' that you can supposedly drink hours prior to a urine test and it's promised to work everytime... don't football players check the intraweb?...

I'm going to guess Beta Blocker or something innocuous. A physician unfamiliar with his NFL requirements could easily prescribe some banned drug for his anxiety. The current NSF Banned Substances Guideline is pretty ridiculous.

Now, there are four states of being in the cannabis, or marijuana, society: Cool, Groovy, Hip, and Square. The square is seldom if ever cool. He is not "with it,"
that is, he doesn't know "what's happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what is happening, he becomes "groovy." After that, with much luck and perseverance, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

Considering his location I'm guessing he took something (for his holistic shiat, not his nfl career) with opium in it. Think poppy seed episode from Seinfeld. It isn't that hard to consume opium in India without knowing.

Have these drug testers ever proved that legitimate things can't produce the same results as the banned substances?

There were some Olympians who were suspended for a few days, and I heard that one cause of their failed test could simply have been the altitude.

They treat these things like they're infallible, but is that really the case?

Sometimes the anti-drug movement in sports seems very similar to the "zero-tolerance policy" in schools, where a six-year-old can be suspended for brining a plastic knife to school in his lunch. Reason is thrown aside in deference to unquestioned adherence to "the letter of the law." Yeah, it's plastic, but it's still a knife. Or with drugs it's like, okay, something innocent could cause a bad result on your drug test, and we're aware of that, but the rules are the rules. The guilty are punished, but sometimes, I suspect, so are the innocent.

I warned him to stay away from the poppy-seed muffins.
