Gmail sent. I'm a little less than 2 hours out of St. Louis. Could be moving up there altogether next month if my 2nd interview goes well later this week. :)

St. Louis just hailed all over my new car. :-(

dazedyouth: St. Louis TFers comment to this, please drop me an email in my profile

E-mail on its way. Like to see one close to home, but organizing a Fark Party really isn't up my alley. To quote B.J. Hunnicut, the closest I get to building anything is when I make my bed ;)

asinine

2006-02-20 05:32:38 PM
Their article wasn't long enough so they just repeated part of it. Weak..

I was noticing the same thing.

/oh god its contageous

Heard about this on the radio today. I was hoping that all of the birds would turn up in odd places together, like perched in playgrounds or outside car washes.

/BTW, gmail sent to you, dazedyouth.

Wow, what an interesting and lengthy article. I feel well informed.

Uncle Eazy: St. Louis just hailed all over my new car. :-(

That wasn't St. Louis, and that wasn't hail. Sorry about that.

2006-02-20 05:38:36 PM
Did they have to pay for the crappy article to bring it to everyone's attention that the birds were disappearing? Well played marketing department, gives yourselves a pat on the back.

2006-02-20 05:47:12 PM
It looks like they fixed it.

It looks like they fixed it.

2006-02-20 05:50:15 PM
Well, it certainly did get the fans attention around here by getting the Cards in the news. As if they had a problem doing that in the first place.

2006-02-20 05:59:06 PM
And here I thought that the arabs took them and it turned out to be the creepy air marshall who couldn't be bothered to open his goddamned eyes marketing department buttfaces.

2006-02-20 05:59:25 PM
I move from StL and THEN we have a Fark party. Any interest in KC?? Anybody?? Beuller?

I work for the St Louis Cardinals Marketing Department.
So I am really getting a kick out of most of these replies.
Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about.
But trust me.... You don't.
I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you dont know what you are talking about.
This is how bad info gets passed around.
If you dont know about the topic....Dont make yourself sound like you do.
Cuz some Farkers belive anything they hear.

2006-02-20 06:26:18 PM
Actually, I don't work for the Cardinals, I've just always wanted to say that....GO CARDS!

2006-02-20 06:38:56 PM
this is a hilarious thread.

cards suck by the way.

/DEFENDING national league champion astros fan

2006-02-20 06:42:57 PM
Wow- when people see someone ripped down their beloved birds-

Well those Cards fans will surely now give up their civil rights to find the tear-orrists. even if it was an inside deal, or stunt.

/reminds me of something else.

2006-02-20 06:43:41 PM
49 days to go!!!

/at least i've got curling to watch 'til then

2006-02-20 06:46:24 PM
hey marketing guy- whats the psychological effect of
having it look like someone who dosent like your team ripped your birds off.

rally the fans to kick some other fans asses.

breed warfare.

no really, what other possible marketing tek is it?

theres a good hicks quote....

you in marketing? KILL YOURSELF.

:) Have a nice day :)

Noticed this on the way to work. For some reason I thought it was due to storm damage or something. That's what I get for thinking before I drink my gallon of coffee.

And with all the STL farkers in this thread, I can't believe nobody has asked the obvious question:

"Where did you go to High School?"

2006-02-20 07:01:09 PM
gotta get that stadium done somehow

/mehlville

2006-02-20 07:13:32 PM
Like we'd ever let Cubs fans out of the work camps.

2006-02-20 07:15:29 PM
Only Cardinal fans are dumba$$es enough to vandalize their own mascot for a publicity stunt.

Go Cubs!

fark the 'Stros and their idiotic, bandwagon fans. If they knew any less about baseball, they'd be Cubs fans.

2006-02-20 08:33:12 PM
My new Fantasy Baseball Team name for this season

Sexon the Pujols.

2006-02-20 08:34:59 PM
Actually what happened was that someone told the Cardinals that it was almost playoff time and this caused them to disappear. They always fly away when this happens.

2006-02-20 08:37:30 PM
the cards were the best team in the NL last year and they have a new stadium opening up. why would they need lame-ass marketing stunts to drum up business?

2006-02-20 08:42:22 PM
I have to admit to not being overwhelmed by the Cardinals off-season moves this year... but other than the loss of Grudzielanek, I think they're poised to compete again.

If they can keep the whiskey out of Sidney Ponson's locker, that is.

2006-02-20 09:36:55 PM

2006-02-20 10:22:46 PM
How about a photoshop putting them on different billboards?

2006-02-20 10:50:48 PM
Francis Howell High School.

I'd love to do a fark party in the end of august, when I'm back in STL.

2006-02-21 12:44:27 AM
Only in the Lou. Only in the Lou.

You're right, I'm always asked "where did you go to high school?" everytime I visit my relatives in the Lou.

/not from the Lou
//relatives from the City - north part, where there's a $#*@ "Chop Suey" and liquor store on every corner. Unbelievable. And how many different police departments can the Lou have? Go one block to see a new police department car. Go another block...
