Elliot Sadler
Ghost of Dale Earnhardt Sr
Carl Edwards
Some No Name Rookie

Bobby Labonte

and yes, JJ will crash on lap 143.

/Jimmie Johnson sucks

2006-02-19 01:32:27 PM

I hate the NBC announcers, they're so homerish unlike the Fox guys

2006-02-19 01:36:02 PM
I made some pretty bold drunken predictions in last night's thread. If they come true, I'll start playing the lotto.

The NaSkAr couldn't agree more. Old DW can't be beat.

The NaSkAr: I hate the NBC announcers

I'll agree for the most part. I won't say I hate 'em, but I will say that the Fox crew is far more entertaining.

I just hope somebody doesn't cut down a tire and wipe out half the field on lap 3 like newman did at talladega a few years ago. If there's gonna be a big one, let it be on the last lap.

2006-02-19 01:41:40 PM
Who wants to watch Ken Schrader's in-car though?

Let's start compiling the Daytona 500 Drinking game rules:

1) Take a shot everytime they say "the big one"

2006-02-19 01:43:49 PM
2) Take a shot every time they try to explain to people what a restrictor plate is.

*drinks*

2006-02-19 01:43:59 PM
2)Take a shot every time they say "Chad Knaus"

2006-02-19 01:44:08 PM
yay cars crashing is cool

2006-02-19 01:45:31 PM
Take a drink every time they say cut down a right front tire

2006-02-19 01:46:59 PM
I wonder how many takes it took them to break that wine glass heh

Remember 5 years ago when they did that tribute on lap 3? Remember how there was a caution on lap 3 for the first 3 races?
There was a caution on the lap 3 tribute yesterday. If there is one today, I might just get the heebie-geebies.

2006-02-19 01:49:19 PM
3) One drink for every product placement
4) One drink for every mention of "bump drafting"
5) Two drinks for the word "trouble"

/stomach pump not included

2006-02-19 01:50:10 PM
I wouldn't expect to see all the mayhem we saw in the busch race yesterday. Track's alot cooler, it's cloudy, and the field is more experienced. should be a hell of a race though.

2006-02-19 01:50:20 PM
Take a drink everytime Kurt Busch is a douche-bag.

I think I'ma need an IV

klowned: Take a drink everytime Kurt Busch is a douche-bag.

If I did that, I would already be passed out.

Tribute to what?
/nevermind, I don't care.

2006-02-19 01:54:57 PM
Take a shot every time they say "restrictor plate".

TheRealist: Tony Stewart

My top pick as well.

2006-02-19 01:54:58 PM
TheRealist: One drink for every mention of "bump drafting"
We'd already be in the hospital getting our stomachs pumped if this rule were in effect.

2006-02-19 01:56:24 PM
The NBC affiliate in Atlanta is a bit jumpy on the commercial breaks today. They've now cut off announcers twice in mid-sentence to show ads.

2006-02-19 01:56:34 PM
they need to have a Jack Bauer and Family Guy car when it goes back to Fox

2006-02-19 01:56:35 PM
Mosey: Tribute to what?

To Dale Earnhardt, he drove the 3 car, crashed and got killed at Daytona.

2006-02-19 01:58:00 PM
his ears look so bogus heh

2006-02-19 01:58:09 PM
Mosey: nevermind, I don't care.

Then why even post?

If you don't know then your just retarded. Even non-race fans know what 3 refers to. Now go to the womens figure skating thread and put on your tights and tutu.

not really regarding this race, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby Labonte made the chase this year

2006-02-19 02:01:40 PM
I'd like to see that, I like Labonte and Petty Enterprises deserves a little luck and a return to prominence. God knows Kyle isn't going to get them there. He's a great guy, but only a good driver.

2006-02-19 02:02:03 PM
Take a shot every time BP mentions a car at the back of the pack leaking rear end grease on the track...

Think he mentioned this 8 times during the 500 last year and it forced beer out of my nose every time...

klowned:

I gotta say without a doubt he has had the WORST luck in all of NASCAR the past few years. Seems like every other race he'd get caught up in something that wasn't his fault. If that changes, and his new team works for him, could happen.

klowned: I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby Labonte made the chase this year

I would. I won't be too surprised if he wins a race or two, but I can't see the 43 going from crap to greatness in one year... not that I wouldn't like to see it happen though.

Bon Jovi?

uggggg

lexingtonienne: To Dale Earnhardt, he drove the 3 car, crashed and got killed at Daytona.

Excuse my complete ignorance of Nascar, but... so?

Doesn't that happen time to time? I mean, when someone dies do they always throw a tribute lap to the guy?

Or was he some sort of Jackie Robinson of driving?

2006-02-19 02:04:30 PM
nother drinking game rule.

every commercial starring Jr.-1 shot

Mosey: Or was he some sort of Jackie Robinson of driving?

Bwwaaahhhhaaaahaaaa!

The unintentional comedy of that comment is absolutely stunning.

2006-02-19 02:04:42 PM
This is going to be a great race. Denny Hamlin top 10.

Earnhardt was a legend, and Daytona is a legendary race. Think if Michael Jordan dropped dead during a championship game.

Mrs. Flubby still has the hots for Jon Bon Jovi.

2006-02-19 02:07:55 PM

2006-02-19 02:08:27 PM
boy he got a double case of white boy awquardness didn't he? He makes me look smoothe and rythmic

2006-02-19 02:08:48 PM
Just wow. Bon Jovi. heh.
