It's lip service. They won't be moving to OKC. Bet real muthafarkin high.

OKC won't build the stadium the Marlins want which is why they want to leave Miami.

America - where oversized sports teams can hold a city hostage in order to sell more luxury boxes and screw the average fan.

/not a Marlins or Miami fan
//never been to OKC either

Where there is a will, thre is a way. They have been more than accomadating for the Hornets. WHen you have a city that has the means to support a Pro FRanchise, and the will, what is wrong with that?

Went to see the 89'ers play when I was down in OKC a couple of years ago. Nice place to see a game.
My trip there far exceeded my expectations.

Oklahoma City will suddenly have a Latino community. Maybe only the 25 players, but still a community.

Not really news, the Marlins have been rumered to be in talks with about 20 different cities. It's all a ploy to get Miami to build them a new stadium.

/Not from Miami, or Fla for that matter
//Dosen't really give a fark where the Marlins go

In baseball's geography, Oklahoma City would probably still spend several years in the NL East.

And much like the Utah Jazz, the OKC Marlins would be one of those WTF? team names.

With global warming the team name will make sense in about 1,000 years.

I predict there will be be a strike if OKC gets a baseball team.

/NOBODY wants to go to OKC! NOBODY!
