Otherwise, I've always thought she was rather "meh" as an actress.

Never understood the fuss over Basic Instinct, either--it was poorly-written, plot holes the size of Montana, and most of the actors seemed to sleepwalk through their roles IMHO. It also had the dubious honor of forever ruining my crush on Jeanne Tripplehorn (I know it was actually one of her first roles, but I didn't see Instinct until years after it came out).
