2006-01-30 04:24:23 PM
I will start being interested in FHM when they stop airbrushing all of the nips out.

2006-01-30 04:24:52 PM
I think I am the Bigger Fool for having read that...

2006-01-30 04:25:14 PM
What a delightful "infosnack".

2006-01-30 04:25:24 PM
Man, that was serious.

2006-01-30 04:25:27 PM
Drew writing for FHM makes sense, even in my horribly sad warped mind.

Bravo!

2006-01-30 04:27:20 PM
I would just like everyone to know that I am posting here without reading the article, because I wanted to get in on the discussion early.
So what are we talking about?

2006-01-30 04:28:51 PM
I would not hit it.

2006-01-30 04:28:58 PM
I eat at Hooters for the wings. Honestly, I do. Stop looking at me like that!

2006-01-30 04:28:58 PM
Darn. Still the same image from last month.

( A few farkers modified the image of Drew's hand into the 'shocker' pose. )

/Still, LOVE the stained glass graphic. Want's one of myself like that ... off to read TFA.

2006-01-30 04:29:04 PM
That article was far too informative and wordy for the average FHM reader.

2006-01-30 04:29:04 PM
CNN wrote an article this month implying that Americans were moving out of overheated housing markets such as Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., based solely on the prices of homes.

I highly doubt that the article claimed or intended to claim that every single person was moving because of the price of housing.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

2006-01-30 04:30:25 PM
Hey, you actually come across as much smarter than I had imagined, DREW, nice article.

/I guess looks are deceiving...

//if you haven't read "Freakonomics" yet, I highly recommend it, it debunks a bunch of "common myths" that the media tends to perpetuate, just like the one you mention....

///of course my first slash was a joke! ;)

2006-01-30 04:30:26 PM
So when is Drew going to take over the Men column in Playboy?

2006-01-30 04:30:53 PM
Just waitin' for all the Bigger Fools to finally leave Los Angeles and return it to its pristine state.

Go Blue Sox!

2006-01-30 04:31:02 PM
He should consider writing for Fark!

Wonder how many banninations can occur in one thread...

2006-01-30 04:31:28 PM
Props to our Leader. All hail Our Leader! He Can Write No Wrong!!

2006-01-30 04:31:36 PM
Well we can forget about any future FHM members now, they probably think TF is an meeting point of savvy home brokers.

2006-01-30 04:32:18 PM
Drew is bald.

2006-01-30 04:32:27 PM
That guy in the stained glass window looks just like Drew!

2006-01-30 04:33:22 PM

...and the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and anchovies, and carp, and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats...

/yeah Drew

2006-01-30 04:33:41 PM
An FHM article with no boobies? I feel so dirty.

2006-01-30 04:33:46 PM
Well, Larry, the reason the media sucks today is due to the fear of infosnacking's impact on the performance of journalists

Wonder how many banninations can occur in one thread...

But Drew's over at FHM...Let's start shiat before he gets back

# Long Islanders aged 18 to 34 are unable to afford decent homes.
# Older residents who already own property find they can sell their existing homes for a ton of money and buy cheaper ones elsewhere.

Out here, I could afford a decent house. But, it would mean a 50 mile commute, compared to the 13 mile commute from my already-paid-for-and-now-worth-double-what-I-paid condo.

If I ever need extra room, I could just stop renting the 2nd bedroom and turn it into a computer/exercise room or something.

There's also a ton of condo conversions going on here, will be interesting to see how that plays out. Especially since the folks who were renting the apartments, probably can't afford the condo once it's been converted.

To give you some idea Maisel Presley has done a ton of conversions recently.

/Note how none of their listings mention square feet, there's a good reason for that ;)

2006-01-30 04:36:39 PM
I only read FHM for the Tits and Ass.

I think that stained glass window is bleeding.

2006-01-30 04:38:03 PM
Drew gets a column for FHM and he writes about the housing market?

Dude.

2006-01-30 04:38:15 PM
You don't have to live in those three areas to know houses are farking way too expensive.

Well stated sir.

2006-01-30 04:40:07 PM
So Drew is one of those people who rants on and on about how bad "the media" is without realizing that FARK IS PART OF THE MEDIA?? Where do you think I get all my Britney and Linsey Lohan news, the BBC???

/disappointed

2006-01-30 04:41:40 PM
Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., are gridlocked, crime-ridden hellholes.

We prefer pee-pee soaked heckhole.

2006-01-30 04:42:28 PM
BunkyBrewman: Drew gets a column for FHM and he writes about the housing market?

The column was about the media oversimplifying issues. Back to USA Today you go. :P

2006-01-30 04:47:27 PM
So farkin' Drew can say fark in a magazine that's one farking row back from farking Pokemon Trader at the bookstore, but we can't say fark in the farking comments? What the fark is this farking shiat?

Raven77

I've not only paid attention but I apparently dropped a cliche/ sarcastic comment that you didn't get. See, here's how it works... if Drew posts something or there's a news item about Fark or Drew you're supposed to say, "How'd this get greenlit?", 'cause it's drew's website you see and.. oh, never mind.

2006-01-30 04:50:40 PM
Ya know what really grinds Drew's gears? The media.

2006-01-30 04:50:41 PM
Whoa, check out the new little thingies on top!

2006-01-30 04:51:07 PM

Sorry, I guess I need to send my sarcasm & cliche detector in for repairs. ;-)

2006-01-30 04:52:51 PM
I've noticed `Fark Main', `Sports' & `Tech' buttons at the top of the page. Is this a new addition to Fark?
/sorry if `off' topic

It's not news, it's Fark.
