Who would open for them? Limp Bizkit?

Oh, and the conceptual artist of that costume has issues.

Buzz Bunny - that's the drunken Looney Tunes rabbit, right?

The first two replies are hysterical. You couldn't make up a more authentic nerd dialog. Terrific.

I remember downloading and watching Buzz Bunny and his crew many months ago. Is that show still being made?

Man it was dull.

Honestly I didn't even notice the extra claw things until I read the comments on the site. I thought his costume is cool, but the extra thingys need to go.

The last article that showed this thing made it sound like this was a separate timeline that would probably be short lived.

Relax, it is only temporary until Spiderman is able to wrest himself away from Stark.

2006-01-26 01:53:43 AM
Is there some kind of Stark enterprises thing going on? Havn't actually picked up a Spiderman comic in about 20 years, but his new suit resembles Iron Man's

2006-01-26 01:58:54 AM
DisneyOnIce, Spidey just joined the Avengers after the original team got basically wiped out. He's living in the Avengers mansion with Mary Jane and Aunt May, both of whom know his secret now. Tony Stark's been helping him out in return for lending his powers to the remade team.

God... I should just shoot myself now.

Spiderman has always been kind of gay. It reminds me of the symbiant. Kind of like a bendy-ankled mixture between Carnage and Venom.

At the risk of giving Jersey Tim a boner, Spidey recently underwent an "evolution" which caused him to emerge from a chrysalis (no, really), giving him new, strange powers as well as being haunted by a "Spider-Creature" in his dreams.

As Spidey is now an Avenger, Tony "Iron Man" Stark offered to build him a metal suit which is supposed to help him adapt to the changes. This would seem to be the result.

My childhood seems to be dying an awful lot lately.

2006-01-26 02:08:36 AM
The Avengers got wiped out? Jeez, the only one I remember was Thor. And I think Iron Man.

"...to emerge from a chrysalis (no, really), giving him new, strange powers as well as being haunted by a "Spider-Creature" in his dreams." Damn, I know it's tough to write fresh stories for 40 some years but that's a little out there for Marvel. Sounds more like something DC would've done.

The Avengers got wiped out?

Not wiped out, disbanded - after Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Jack-of-Hearts were killed and Avengers Mansion was blown to smithereens.

The New Avengers is now Marvel's best-selling title, and the group now resides in a Stark high-rise redubbed "Avengers Tower".

After my total hatred and disgust, I was thinking that Peter must've somehow took a Doc Oc design, and gave himself four more appendages, to make eight total (arachnid, duh). Then I noticed that there are only seven total, and one was a penis.
This suit gave Spidey teh Robo-Gay.

2006-01-26 02:25:51 AM
It also gave him camel-toe and a broken ankle...

Word.

2006-01-26 04:58:13 AM
I just wanted to say I didn't do this. Tony Stark has always been a little out there with the designs, our family has barred him from doing Christmas ever again.

Those arms? They were first brought to our attention on a Santa suit from 1987. It didn't end well.

2006-01-26 05:36:13 AM
Hey, remember when Robin got killed? Remember when Superman died? Remember when Spidey got the black costume? Remember when comics routinely farked with popular characters to outrage the fan community, get big-time mainstream media coverage and sell an assload of extra copies, temporarily?
Remember when after a brief period all those people showed back up, alive, and things always went back to business as usual?

2006-01-26 06:54:29 AM
Chill out people. It is a temporary thing as part of a story. Man comic book geeks are easily upset.

Yeah, thank god it's temporary. He looks like cheap ass.

I'm looking at those new appendages and all i can thing of is grappling hooks. Now wtf would a guy who can stick to anything like glue need grappling hooks for?

2006-01-26 09:04:54 AM
Smed: you have to be kidding man... he has to be one of the WORST marvel characters of all time.

and as for the spiderman... ok... the article is farked... is this scarlet spiderman? Is this some sort of "else worlds" type spiderman? because we can all guess that if this is straight on peter parker, it isn't gonna last 6 months. The black suit was a cool change of pace, but it leads to venom, who i never really cared for. And lets not even talk about the armored spiderman suit.

After the three metal arms (and wondering where the fourth was) the next thing that caught my attention was that ankle... Hearing some of the back store here, I may have to pick this issue up, not that I care for the Avengers all that much.

You sheep. If this topic was called "Spider-Man's fantastic new costume" all of would have agreed.

I think it looks quite good, and as I am sure you know it isn't a replacement to his 'real' look.
