2006-01-24 09:27:09 AM
That is, hands down, the most spectacularly idiotic attempt at being funny I've ever seen.

NOW can we get a retarded tag!?!?!?

2006-01-24 09:40:24 AM
Most jokes have both a premise and punchline.

This has neither.

2006-01-24 09:41:10 AM
does that guy have a medieval dungeon for a basement or what?

2006-01-24 09:41:21 AM
Now if we could get Wilt Chamberlain's 100 points in a jar, we could have a boxed set!!

Don't feed the attention-whore auction.

2006-01-24 09:42:57 AM
At least the "Ghost in a JAr" had a scary legend and a sweet photoshop to back it up.

2006-01-24 09:43:04 AM
Hey, didn't the film "The Silence of the Lambs" in this guy's basement?

labman

I only see Kobe's favorite hazelnut spread with skim milk in that pic. Where's the chocolate spread?

2006-01-24 09:43:58 AM
I wonder if he'll accept payment in Fiona Apple notes.

2006-01-24 09:44:53 AM
... Wow... If this shiat sells I officially surrender my hope in reformation of the economy.

Makes you wonder if he's jsut being a smart@ss or if he's that damned delusional... I'm hoping for the second option. We might read about him in some kind of police-horse-humping escapade next month.

There will be some legit bids...

But someone will bid $1,000,000 and the auction will get pulled.

2006-01-24 09:47:12 AM
it may be attention whoring, but it's still amusing.

Look at some of the feedback he's gotten:

Funny in a "Being John Malkovich" sort of way. Smart people get a chuckle out of it, but the real fun is laughing at all of the poor, dim bastards who ask, "Is he serious?!?!"

2006-01-24 09:49:23 AM
I thought this auction was hilarious.

Some of you need to remove the stick from your ass.

2006-01-24 09:49:37 AM
I laughed. It was a hell of a lot more clever than most of the joke auctions on EBay. Lighten up people.

2006-01-24 09:50:25 AM
Ebay needs to stop looking at the ceiling for where it says "GULLIBLE." (If they were in my friend's old dorm room, where they did write that up there, I'd understand...)

While I'm here, just let me point out that no team is ever gonna let selfish shot hog Kobe do that in the postseason, and if the rest of the team doesn't know how to score, well then, they'll be losing early & often in the postseason.

Enjoy, you selfish bahstid.

Yesterday I saw a honk bag up for auction, it was even signed by the cast of 'Celebrity Honk Bag'.

Someone must have used the BIN, because it's gone now.

2006-01-24 09:56:10 AM
So, are those really the points and do they really all congeal in this poor guy's basement wall? I feel sorry for the points though; I think PETA should start a campaign to free the points from their captivity.

2006-01-24 09:56:17 AM
Damn! I've been outbid.

2006-01-24 09:56:32 AM
Man, I thought my basement was ghetto...

2006-01-24 09:57:08 AM
Outbid Also =(

2006-01-24 09:57:51 AM
It is still the most points Kobe has scored without having to buy his wife jewelry.

2006-01-24 10:04:40 AM
like, how do these people figure out how to use computers?

People who post these links to 'funny' eBay auctions seem to forget they are as fleeting as the breeze.

The proper way would be to take a screenshot (for newbies, just display the page & hit 'print screen' key). Launch photoshop, create new file from clipboard.

Important! Convert to 256 colors, and save as a .gif file. Pictures may look a bit strange, but you'll still be able to make them out.

A 1024x 768 gif of a screenshot will actually be only be ~50Kbytes.

A hosting service shouldn't have too much problem with that. It will last a lot longer that the ebay page.

Just a thought.

This is funny. I wonder how stoned he was when he came up with the idea.

2006-01-24 10:15:55 AM
Outbid.

2006-01-24 10:16:09 AM
I, for on, actually think this is hilarious. And if it doesn't get pulled he'll have made himself a few bucks.

oh, I dunno, this line: "I'm sure someone in Canada is selling the Raptors defence and pride, because they left that at home."
