submitter: blows a hole through her purse

Yeah, I totally misread that the first time around.

/glory hole

Nice. This is what happens when you open jobs to the lowest common denominator.

Not saying that an accident couldn't happen to anyone, but a level of professionalism missing here would have created a different scenario:

1. A professional wouldn't put an unsecured handgun in a handbag, loaded, with a round in the chamber, and an exposed trigger.

2. A professional's Weeners after a negligent discharge would be to check to see if anyone is hurt.

3. A professional wouldn't run away to try and escape consequences.

4. A professional wouldn't then lie when caught and confronted.

Scumbag.

I Love the filter.

2006-01-24 08:58:21 AM
I hope her face is plastered ALL over the news.

What a stupid, scary biatch. And to think this woman was supposed to be 'protecting/serving' the public... yikes.

I hope they do an immediate RAISE OF STANDARDS for new police officers. There must've been some inkling that this biatch was like this already.

To fill a demographic that is "traditionally underrepresented" in this career, they will take anybody that isn't a felon and has a GED if they are the flavor of the month.

Some guy who just did two tours in Iraq and has a bronze star and a Master's degree can take a hike, because they have too many cops that look like him already.

True equality in America.

Netsloth:2. A professional's Weeners after a negligent discharge would be to check to see if anyone is hurt.

That's gotta be the funniest filter farkup I've seen in ages.

A typical day in the Lou.

2006-01-24 10:00:42 AM
I'd like to hear more about the professional's Weener discharge.

2006-01-24 10:01:55 AM
Unreal. Her reaction afterwards is scarier than the gun going off. St. Louis is safer now that this woman is no longer a cop.

2006-01-24 10:02:12 AM
Black sequins rained down in the Dairy Queen after the explosion.

Somebody needs to explain to Ms. Ratcliffe that she is a news reporter, not Hemingway.

2006-01-24 10:02:38 AM
A good job she was 8

/oops, wrong gun thread

2006-01-24 10:03:30 AM
Did she just transfer up from 'Nawlins?

In other news, St. Louis has poli... oh.

2006-01-24 10:04:35 AM
Well she did say "I ain't got no gun", so gramatically, she does have a gun.

2006-01-24 10:04:41 AM
So, she's carrying a concelaed weapon, discharges it in public, flees, throw a loaded weapon in a public place and then lies to investigators 3 times?

Sounds like a cop to me.

2006-01-24 10:06:05 AM
Imagine if the cop was a man & his gun was in his wallet.

2006-01-24 10:06:28 AM
At least the store manager had an affirmative reaction that was beneficial to society.

2006-01-24 10:06:29 AM
Does anyone have that video of that cop who shoots a hole in his foot while teaching a gun safety class to kids? That was the best ever.

2006-01-24 10:07:55 AM
The part that seems so asinine to me is the fact that she claims to have thrown it out her window along the road somewhere. Just tossing an obviously loaded and touchy weapon into a public place for disposal seems criminally negligent to say the least.

2006-01-24 10:08:39 AM
Gimme a heath bar crunch blizzard or the bag gets it, see!

2006-01-24 10:08:41 AM
Best farticle I've read in a long time. I'm really curious to know what was filtered out in place of "Professional's Weeners." I've been trying to figure it out, but there are many words for it.

2006-01-24 10:09:15 AM
Ahhhhhhh
St. Louis can feel a bit safer tonight.

Sheesh. I can't believe she was a cop. She did just about every stupid thing you can imagine.

2006-01-24 10:10:12 AM
When the investigators asked her if she wasn't there why did she have ice cream all over her face. She said didn't have ice cream, she just blew a seal.

2006-01-24 10:11:06 AM
The officer, whose name was not released pending consideration of charges against her, eventually told police that she had thrown the weapon out her car window along Interstate 255 because she was afraid she was going to be in trouble.

County officers spent hours scouring the area along the westbound lanes in the dark and rain Friday, looking for the weapon; they never found it.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!

chaddsfarkprefect: At least the store manager had an affirmative reaction that was beneficial to society.

Affirmative reaction being the effect, affirmative action being the cause.

Tell us more about how the Professional's Weeners Act finally made it past Congress.

2006-01-24 10:11:53 AM
Obviously, she was the only one in the room professional enough to carry a gun.

/stupid cops.

2006-01-24 10:12:38 AM
Swords, damnit!
They can never go off unexpectedly,
They never need reloading,
and They look way cooler than a handgun.
Why do we still use guns?
\ just the effectiveness of bullets as a weapon, I guess
\\ Miniver Cheevey, sigh
\\\slashies
\\\\if you get the refrence:you're a NEEEEERRRRD!

I agree. Possivly an argument for the lowest common denominator BEING the job.
/yes it's a jab, but an innocuous one.

Cops are the best.

In pig latin, does "irstfay esponseray" trigger the filter? Let me try:

Weeners

2006-01-24 10:19:10 AM
RE: the filter.

The words "post" OR "response", when preceded by "first", set off the filter.

2006-01-24 10:20:30 AM
Obviously she was the 'only one professional enough to handle that weapon'

/Got nothing

2006-01-24 10:21:02 AM
first responsibility gets filtered?

that's frist repsonsibility

2006-01-24 10:21:26 AM
I used to live about 3 blocks from this Dairy Queen.

Judging by the quality of many of the police officers I saw in this area during my 2 years residing there, this news does not surprise me in the least.

Glad to hear she resigned; however, I think the New Orleans PD will be giving her a call shortly.

2006-01-24 10:25:54 AM
Weeners? Weeners? I can't believe that the filter is triggered by Weeners. I mean, I know that it's silly that my Weeners to this revelation is a bit excessive, but honestly, how excessive should my Weeners be?

2006-01-24 10:28:47 AM
Only law enforcement and military have the training required to safely and responsibly use firearms.

Black sequins rained down in the Dairy Queen after the explosion.

My favorite opening sentence in a news story this week.

2006-01-24 10:31:39 AM
The greatest thing about our community is that when the crisis calls for it, we have excellent Weeners.

2006-01-24 10:34:45 AM
The most important thing about being a firefighter is Weeners. A firefighter lives for Weeners every day. At any moment, awake or asleep, they might have to race to the big brass pole for Weeners.

2006-01-24 10:35:00 AM
sounds like she's been DQ'd!

because, you see, it's dairy queen...

/nuthin

2006-01-24 10:35:47 AM
Really? I thought Boobies was Boobies. Weird. Weeners.

2006-01-24 10:36:28 AM
Holy crap cheap ass gun is right. Also who keeps a loaded gun not under direct control? Guess cops don't have to take a gun safety class.

2006-01-24 10:36:39 AM
Weeners
first choice
first reaction
first option
what got the filter?

2006-01-24 10:37:26 AM
Robbery attempt cancelled due to dropped purse.

2006-01-24 10:37:36 AM
Oh, it was Frist Response

2006-01-24 10:41:19 AM
first responder.

oh -- NOW i see how that works.

oh...no i don't.

2006-01-24 10:45:43 AM
And yet.... if there had been TWO cops instead of one her partner would have covered for her.

Cops teh suxxor!!1!
