2002-05-20 04:23:22 PM
Didn't he try to bean someone or something like that because the guy killed to EQ character? It was last year I think.

2002-05-20 05:08:40 PM

That's really too bad.

He should sell it on ebay. "Autographed Curt Schilling Everquest LVL 51 MONK WOOT WOOT" or something

2002-05-20 06:47:25 PM
He got mad at another MLB player for deserting him on a quest when they were surrounded and overwhelmed by enemy.

FoamingPipe Snake,
No, you got it all wrong.
Last season Doug Glanville hiy back to back homeruns off of his former teammate, Schilling.
Glanville said he owed it to him for getting his player killed in a trap set up in a game of Everquest.
Schilling called out for help to Glanville on line in a battle I guess, Glanville arrived, then Schilling booked leaving Glanville's player to die.
Funny story, Glanville was really pissed.
So I guess Schilling is ACTUALLY A TROLL !

The highest level possible in EQ (at present) is level 60, so reaching level 51 is an impressive accomplishment and means that he must of spent 100's of hours playing...and still he makes more money than all of us.
God Bless the USA!

I heard he's got a new Cap of the Diamondback which gives him +3 to Endurance and +2 to Splitfinger.

Mike Mussina > Curt Schilling.

Schilling explains the Glanville incident near the end of this interview:

I tried playing Mario Tennis against my roommate (on the tennis team) and his tennis buds. Only my years of video gaming experience made it a fair match. Ping-pong (yes I know it's not a video game, whatever) is a different story altogether. As far as I know, my roommate has never been beaten here at school, and he plays quite a bit now that his season's over.

curt schilling has to be one of the coolest most down to earth baseball players.. i used to like the phillies when they had blue collar guys like schill, kruk, and dykstra..

Ring check:

Nuff said.

Mills can work PlayStation2 or Dreamcast, simultaneously if he wants. He said he doesn't play while driving, but the games come in handy when he's driving friends over long distances.

Yeah, not to mention the fact that having a TV in view of the driver is illegal.

I stand corrected.

Who else gets this article instead of what ever the heck the subject is about?

This is no big surprise. You've got hundreds of men who are paid millions to play sports. They're gods on earth, and they're told so constantly. Is it any wonder that they're a bunch of 30 year old boys?

Don't get me wrong, I love watching Schilling on the mound. He rules, and I'll bet he's cool to hang around. Maybe I'm just jealous. Ah well....

Sooperfan, Thanks!

Barry Bonds beats Shilling to death with his +5 Mace of Splash Landings!!

2002-05-20 10:21:26 PM
I became a Doug Glanville fan because of his spat with Schilling. Sure, he can't get on base or hit for power, but he uses more colorful language than most writers.

2002-05-20 10:42:39 PM
Hey what about me?

2002-05-20 10:49:53 PM

What do Curt Schilling and Mike Mussina have in common other than being awesome pitchers?

They were Baltimore Orioles once ... sob ...

Old news, but here's what I can't figure out.

Curt Schilling:
Has a family
Was Cy Young runner-up and World Series Champ
Has a level 51 EQ guy

Tapakip:
Has a girlfriend he never gets to see
Works at Papa Gino's
Had a level 34 guy at his EQ peak

I'm still not certain everyone is working on the same 24-hour day....if so, Curt is just the freaking man

(still a Red Sox fan, though.....Yankees SUCK!)

2002-05-21 01:40:11 AM
Curt used to play D&D with a bunch of guys here at Shadow Mtn. HS, he was the biggest dweeb ever, but he was the only dweeb with raw pitching potential...have you ever seen his prep work? He has every game and pitch of his archived on DVD to access through Excel with one click he can see any given pitch....he's the freakin' man.

2002-05-21 09:36:38 AM
Curt's also a stand-up guy who donates a lot of time and money to ALS research.

Oh, and that Outside the Lines show wasn't bad. I had two major beefs though--they didn't disclose that ESPN recently signed a contract with SEGA, and they made too much of a deal out of NHL Hitz and NFL Blitz. Yeah, those games are over-the-top and outrageous, but they SUCK and NO ONE PLAYS THEM.
