2006-01-15 10:14:42 AM
Gonna be some great games today... can't wait!! Seahawks... all i can say is wow. I haven't watched them all year.. they sure spanked NE. Glad I didn't put $ on the game.

Pitts n colts... I have a feeling the winner of this game takes the title.

2006-01-15 10:17:20 AM
I'm 3-3 so far in my playoff picks. I'll be 5-3 if the panthers win against the bears and the colts roll over the Steelers.

(had tampa bay and cincy winning in first round, patriots winning in a nail biter for last nights)

So the real Super Bowl is today, apparently.

Go Colts!

albo: redskins looked tired.

Three in a row on the road is tough. I was a little annoyed with some of the playcalling; not enough shots downfield. But Seattle's D played pretty damn well, and is much-improved from what we played against in week four. Despite their weak schedule during the regular season, they deserved the win and the number one seed.

And Peyton Manning goes out with a knee injury with 14:50 remaining in the first half....

i just thought it was funny when they would turn to belichick in last nights game, and he was like bullshiat this, and motherfarker that. it was great. he is always calm cool and collective... but not last night.

oh well, more time for the patriots to make more commercials. I swear they are everywhere.

i actually like the pats, but they needed to be humbled.

Koch: What's the over under on the number times we see this expression today?

I'll take the under, since we'll only see it once - for about four hours.

I'm convinced that that's his face of anger, disappointment, happiness, and his O-face.

This says it all:

"Se repite, y en el mismo estadio, un partido que ya analizamos cuando estos dos conjuntos se enfrentaron un lunes por la noche. Qu ha cambiado desde entonces? Pittsburgh ha mejorado bastante. Ben Roethlisberger est sano y la defensa de los Steelers se encuentra a un nivel ms alto, al igual que un ataque terrestre que vivi una etapa agnica a mediados de temporada."

Yesterday's comments...

Anyways, it could be the lack of sleep or the questionably green-spotted blueberry bagel I had for breakfast, but my picks are

New England Belibradybruschichicks 20 (and a ton of Kevin Faulk 2-yard gains), Denver Broncos 23. Just a hunch that it'll be close and that Brady won't be able to dump off to RB's and WR's on crossing routes with Denver's quick linebackers.
I was close enough, I guess. Take out some of the turnovers and the game would've been closer than a 14-point super-plex. Poor die-nastily. By the way, as a Dolphins fan, I can say that Miami needs a QB before they can win the AFC East, so don't say the Patriots are done for good quite yet.

Seattle Superseahawks 31, Washingt"overhyped"m Redskins 9. And that's if John Hall, formerly of Wisconsin fame, can hit a FG longer than 45 yards. How pathetic is it that you're paid to kick a football, and that's all you do, and you have less range than Morten Anderson? Isn't Morten Anderson like 53 or something?
Yay, I called John Hall sucking. This game was a lot closer than I thought it would be, but one thing is clearly obvious to me: Shaun Alexander is NOT the NFL MVP. Give the award to someone more deserving, like Steve Smith or Peyton Manning. Take away one of those guys from their respective teams and bye bye goes their chances.

Sunday's games, the Chicago Ditkas 13, Carolina Topcats 21. I love the Bears, but Carolina ate them alive underneath the last time they played, and if you think Steve Smith won't score today, you're crazy. Chicago has no snow and decent temperature (for January, it's like summertime in southern Wisconsin. 40 degrees? I was wearing my Hawaiian prints the other day).

Take this one as you will, but the Indianapolis Colts 14, the Pittsburgh Terrible Towels 30. However, if the Colts score the first 14, the game is going to end as a Colts blowout. The Steelers scare the hell out of me, and this is my least confident pick.

Sergeant Crash: that interception saved the colts from going down 14-0. ben is looking stellar today besides that pick.

It did, but at the same time Indy's offense looks like crap today. I don't really care who wins, but I hope it stays close.

2006-01-15 01:34:58 PM
they're a little rusty... but I think it'll come around. ben is known for having a hot first quarter it seems... everything will even out soon.

It's gonna be awesome when all the talking heads have to eat their words when Pittsburgh hands the Colts their asses.
