Scientology Surrenders?

2002-05-17 01:32:09 PM
Dianetics is a crock, and Scienos are nothing but money-grubbing hucksters.

Who woulda thought the French would get wise?

2002-05-17 01:32:57 PM
I hope they don't do it. Where will the French Scientologists go? To the USA, of course. Then, we'd have more French, and more Scientologists here.

2002-05-17 01:33:26 PM
Scientology is sweet. Better than any other cult. That includes christianity

2002-05-17 01:33:39 PM
In the future, at least 60% of all Scientology materials (materiel d'Scientologie) must be French-made.

But seriously, tres bien!

2002-05-17 01:34:23 PM
Scientologists are hilarious..My Aunt and Uncle are prominenet semi-famous scientologists in Clearwater Florida, (Don't ask who) and they are complete idiots..One of their daughters is basically locked in a Scientolgy School being brainwashed..She's only allowed to see her family for about 2 hours a week. Their other daughter is one of the head brainwashers at another scientology facility..I dont talk to any of them anymore. Every time I talk to them, it seems like they are trying to brainwash me..

2002-05-17 01:35:12 PM
Yeah, who needs religious freedom? Thanks for telling me what to think and do, France.

2002-05-17 01:35:48 PM
Hmmm, that's ironic.

I just heard that a Scientology court was deciding whether to kick the shiat out of France.

And they could do it, too...

2002-05-17 01:38:05 PM
Dagodfather75: You've already been brainwashed. They are trying to deprogram you. That is the driving goal of Scientology, in essence.

2002-05-17 01:39:43 PM
France gets HERO tag. Scientologists Surrender. The Four Horsemen get restless.

2002-05-17 01:40:11 PM
So what you are saying Scientologist is that Xenu and his intergalactic A-Team of Thetans have brainwashed us and the only way we can be deprogrammed is by giving $cientology our money?

2002-05-17 01:41:46 PM
Brainwashing, bankruptcy and death: The Scientology credo.

What else do you expect from a psuedo-"religion" founded by a perscription drug-addicted Satan freak?

Hubbard should be exhumed, put in a Cuisinart and flushed down the toilet.

2002-05-17 01:42:03 PM
Hey Scientologist - I can only assume that you're flame baiting. If you really are a scientologist, I suggest you take a look at clambake.org.

2002-05-17 01:42:03 PM
There's this golf course out here in So Cal that is on Scientology property and it's weird. There are these huge "electrical" fences that if slightly touched send of a silent alarm of some sort. Within 5 minutes some dude comes motoring up on a motorcycle to check what happened. I swear, it's like they're keeping people from getting out of that compound. Really freaky.

Wipqzun: You shouldn't rely on hate mongers and civil terrorists to be your only source of information.

2002-05-17 01:43:23 PM
I find myself strangely torn on this one...

2002-05-17 01:44:02 PM
Damn you Ironbar, damn you! I will not listen to your slanderous anti-cuisinart rhetoric! No cuisinart deserves to be exposed to Lron. Stuff him in a vat of poisonous lava or something.

2002-05-17 01:44:38 PM
yea ya think someone with a logon of "Scientologist" on fark is a troll??

2002-05-17 01:44:58 PM
France and Hero together at last. What a historic occasion.

"look Marge, this bean looks just like the Leader! I'll put it with the other 'Leader-Beans...mmmmmm beans...'

2002-05-17 01:46:33 PM
Scientologist don't use this "freedom of religion" phoney baloney around here. It just won't work. That argument assumes Scientology is a religion. Scientology before the 90's was a self-help group and before that a science-fiction fan club. They later changed their status to religion in order to avoid the tax burden and further the scam.

2002-05-17 01:46:37 PM
No, I think the one calling himself Scientologist really is...

He (?) has the manner of one who is truly brainwashed...er, I mean, a true believer.

2002-05-17 01:46:40 PM
Clambake.org consists of material which has been compromised (i.e. changed to make the church look bad) which comes from those booted out from the church due to not being serious about their recovery and personal spiritual growth. It also contains material written by those who have never experienced Scientology, and are basing their articles on what hate mongers have told them by word of mouth.

Fugginaright: Scientologists are free to leave the church whenever they want, but when they commit to a period of spirital growth, they cannot have access to the outside world as it would distract them from their goal for the moment.

2002-05-17 01:46:55 PM
05-17-02 01:41:46 PM Ironbar

You know full well Hubbard's not actually dead. It was a coverup (how else were they going to get anybody to buy 'Battlefield Earth'?)

When I was in university a scientologist looked at me and said that what they think is what will happen. They were trying to get student status and so were trying to recruit in the "Faith" room (a bad choice in a liberal university, if we are there we usually have figured out why we beleuive what we do). He then stated that I have no control over their life, or what they are doing - in fact they control the universe because they are a Scientologist:

We were in a little room and so I closed the door and ask if he could get past me. Four hours later he had to admit his faith was weak, so I let him leave.

Once he got through the door, he is all "I made you let me go, I made you let me go, I am more powerful then you."

I said sure, whatever, he got made and tried to beat the crap out of me(which is stupid to attemp I am 320lbs, and 6'6" tall), and let the university with a broken nose.

We all need to have religeous freedom, and the freedom to discuss. If you convince me I am wrong, I will admit I am wrong.

Thank-you for your time!!!

Scientologist: Hate mongers and civil terrorists? Time magazine, countless newspapers and the democratically elected governments of many free countries are all hate mongers and civil terrorists now? Anyway, I shouldn't have expected any other response, they train you guys to attack the soucre not the argument like any good propaganda organization.

2002-05-17 01:48:22 PM
Macaw: Scientology is very much a religion, spawned to care for the spirit much like Dianetics cared for the body and mind.

2002-05-17 01:48:50 PM
I live in the Clearwater area and was in a city basketball league with some Scientologists. To their credit they really didn't "preach" or anything, and they certainly had plenty of opportunity to do so. They were nice people albeit a bit unbalanced in my opinion. They have this weird thing when someone gets hurt. Say Scientologist #1 drives the lane and gets an elbow to the dome from scientologist #2. Both of them would touch the point of contact on each other and after like 5 mins of silence or "meditation on the actual event" they would walk away smiling and be ready to ball again. Of course no one else was allowed to speak during this period. It really threw me off the first time I saw it. I just hope one of them doesn't get racked in the nuts, as that would be a bit uncomfortable seeing two grown men rubbing sack. Off topic, but I thought I would share.

Scientologist

If there is nothing to hide why is the religion so litigious?

DC-9s with jet engines.

Riiiiiiiight.

Scientologist:
I don't know if you're joking, or if you are a legitimate Scientologist, but either way..your 'religion' is farked...I'm all for religious freedom..I think people should be allowed to practice whatever religion they choose, but I find it hard to justify a religion invented by a bad science fiction writer to make money. I'm all for religious freedom for actual religions, but I can't justify a cult that was created solely to make money, which evidently has killed people who spoke up about it, and brainwashes people into beleiving that a bunch of science fiction stories about aliens, space ships that look like dc-8's, and everlasting batteries that trapped the alien leader.

2002-05-17 01:50:49 PM
If the good people of France can't practice Scientology peacefully, then...

the terrorists have already won.

2002-05-17 01:51:26 PM
This should be good. Please, Scientologist, enlighten us automatons to the wisdom and truth of Xenu.

2002-05-17 01:52:47 PM
na-na-na-na-na-na-na-BATMAN! I mean LEADER!

2002-05-17 01:53:07 PM
Hmmmm... Scientologist is making good sense...

*eyes begin to glaze*

Yes, I see now the error of my ways...

*opens wallet*

Hey! I've got ones I can give to strippers!!!

*Narrowly avoids $cientology scare*

"spawned"????

...now, pardon me, but the mere choice of the word....

2002-05-17 01:53:31 PM
SCIENTOLOGIST: Hey, could you explain to me the meaning of the "clay tables" and stuff?

2002-05-17 01:53:39 PM
Shouldn't they kick out all those people who have burning down Jewish temples in France first?

2002-05-17 01:54:20 PM
but when they commit to a period of spirital growth, they cannot have access to the outside world as it would distract them from their goal for the moment

Yup. Sounds like a cult to me. Please pass the Kool Aid.

2002-05-17 01:54:37 PM
Wipqzun: The hate mongers and civil terrorists are those who spread misinformation because they are bitter against the church. Those who have never experienced Scientology and base their views off what the rejected have stated about the church, are nothing but sheep.

2002-05-17 01:54:57 PM

Hey Scientologist,

When we revert to labeling and don't discuss things out and explain ourselves and what we mean we look like we are defending a dead point, ie:

05-17-02 01:43:06 PM Scientologist
Wipqzun: You shouldn't rely on hate mongers and civil terrorists to be your only source of information.

Why don't you inform us, about our misperceptions, answer questions like:

Q: When was "Scientology" started?

Q: What is it based on?

Q: Are you even willing in the slightest to admit that you and "Scientology" can be wrong? If so would you change, if it was found wrong?

Q: Finally, what are the effects of persacussion on your faith in "Scientology"?

Thank-you!!

"...but when they commit to a period of spirital growth, they cannot have access to the outside world as it would distract them from their goal for the moment."

That is textbook procedure for every single cult in existance, ie: brainwashing.

I hope posting the OT III data didn't make him run away to find his lawyers.

Now that's not non-confront.

Maybe he got thrown into "Ethics".

New religion for France-

Rastafarianism

No reason why.

2002-05-17 01:57:15 PM
Chick3_16.. shouldn't that be... Nananananananananananananananana.. XENU!! Xenu! Xenu!

Yeah, Scientologist, how come that if it's such a great religion, when we prank call the local Scientology office and ask to speak with Xenu, they threaten to call the cops?

Fark you and your stupid dirty money-grubbing mind-controlling cult.

- DRFS
