Orson Welles was Omnicron.

I *knew* Omnicron... and you, Fred Durst, are no Omnicron.

2006-01-03 07:35:44 PM
He couldn't be any worse at it than he is at music. I say give him a shot.

2006-01-03 07:37:39 PM
I saw the one short film the he shot with his cell phone. I would hardly call that cinematic genius.

2006-01-03 07:41:29 PM
I think he will be an awesome director, he learned everything he knows from Uwe Boll.

2006-01-03 07:43:15 PM
Orsen wells loved his peas, because they were full of green pea-ness.

Hey, he gave himself a standing O at the end.

The ROLLIN' hitmaker is set to direct two upcoming feature-length movies - LIFE WITHOUT JOE and RUNT

...

I'm a real director.

bwahahahahahaha

2006-01-03 09:41:59 PM
It's funny, I enjoy his music (an unpopular thing to say, no doubt) and I think the guy catches far more shiat then he deserves, and then he goes and says something like this.

/yeesh.

2006-01-03 09:50:09 PM
Now I know y'all be lovin' this shiat right here....
L-I-M-P Bizkit is here............

I like how he rhymes "here" with "here"

2006-01-03 09:50:27 PM
Clearly what's wrong with the film industry today is the abundance of crappy sequels absence of Fred Durst in the director's chair.

2006-01-03 09:54:13 PM
well, if he's making movies, at least he's not making music.

2006-01-03 09:58:23 PM
Dear baby burning jebus, please let me not have to eat these words.

Fred Durst's movie career will fail horribly.

2006-01-03 10:16:04 PM
if he ever becomes successful over time, may God shoot him down.

2006-01-03 10:16:45 PM
Oh Fred, why do you do this to yourself?

2006-01-03 10:17:05 PM
watching Fred Durst is like watching a monkey aiding in the death of kittens...

In Movies or in music.

He isn't an Omnicron, more like an Omnimoron or something like that *Clever word play isn't my forte*

I'd like to see Fred Durst fall down an escalator. An "up" escalator, so he keeps tumbling and tumbling and tumbling and tumbling without ever reaching the bottom.

2006-01-03 10:18:58 PM
Unicron, dammit!

2006-01-03 10:18:59 PM
So, he's going to get real fat now?

2006-01-03 10:19:03 PM
Why not? He did in music the same thing Speilberg does: boil it down to the lowest common denominator.

What do you call the derivative of the derivative?

2006-01-03 10:19:22 PM
Now Fred, let me break this to you as gently as I can. It's just that you lack talent, which is your parents fault, not yours.

When you are pushed upon a national audience, despite lacking talent, there is going to be a little negative feedback. Again, it's not really personal, not any more personal that people forcing their suckiness upon you and expecting you to be happy about it.

Learn to do what so many others haven't Fred, savor the 15 minutes, and retire gracefully.

2006-01-03 10:19:32 PM
This no talent hack wasn't doing shiat before his band got popular.

I call shenanagins!!!!!

2006-01-03 10:19:52 PM
I hope they call his movie-making style nu-cinema. That would be, like, awesome.

/"Held Down By Playa Hataz" was actually the working title of Welles' "The Magnificent Ambersons." The more you know...

2006-01-03 10:20:16 PM
Yeah, I'm sure major movie studios, advertising firms, Indy car sponsors, MIT the CDC and the CIA were all vying for Durst... had it not been for his musical success he would have been the next Buckaroo Banzai.

Wait a second...

2006-01-03 10:22:43 PM
fred who?

2006-01-03 10:22:58 PM
The guy made enough money from that band that he could live on it for the rest of his life if he invested it properly (which I doubt he did). He could save himself a lot of embarrassment if he would just fade into obscurity like those that came before him. He's quickly becoming another Vanilla Ice.

2006-01-03 10:25:23 PM
Durst before Bizkit

Yup, lotsa talent there.

You know, I bet a lot of you knocking on Durst here bought at least one of LB's albums. Heck, I still like them.

What started all the LB hate?

From what I can tell, the masses are no better than sheep. Somehow, it became in vogue to bash LB and Fred Durst (perhaps he became too popular?), and the masses of sheeple followed suit, and now his name is in the gutter.

I say give him a shot at making movies. I'll never see one, but I have no evidence that he sucks at it. In fact, we have evidence that he sold almost 19 million albums, which ain't too bad. He must have something that appeals to people.

/then again, so does Britney's music.

2006-01-03 10:26:21 PM
The thing I like about this is that if he's making movies then I can avoid his work much more easily. They don't play movies in my car or at the store etc. Anything that makes avoiding Durst easier is fine by me.

2006-01-03 10:27:00 PM
I agree Fred Durst sucks ass and Limp Bizkit is a cancerous stye in the history of music.

But if dude wants to work his way from the bottom like many good independant directors have done who eventually achieved commercial success then more power to him.

2006-01-03 10:27:01 PM
xRyanx: The guy made enough money from that band that he could live on it for the rest of his life if he invested it properly (which I doubt he did).

IIRC, he started his own label, and got some bands signed that became pretty popular for a while. I'd guess that he's financially all set.

oh wait.. Primus Sucks

Unicron, dammit!

Where were you before I spent 5 minutes on Google figuring out what the hell they were talking about?

I want my five minutes back!

What a dickhead. "All Limp Bizkit being successful did was hurt me." Right, Freddie. Someone should punch him in the throat.

2006-01-03 10:30:14 PM

Proof that Fred Durst is an idiot; even the pet monkey he had trained to play bass up and left the band. And played it all for the cookie (wha) the cookie (wha) the cookie ...

fred and Orson are a lot alike, except that one had talent and the other one is lucky.

2006-01-03 10:30:49 PM
You know what, I dont care what anyone says - I liked and still like Limp Bizkit. You can call it 'fake' but I honestly dont think it tries to pretend to be anything but what it is. That and their guitarist is a f'ing god - you know if you saw summer sanitarium 2003 at ohio stadium.

What I DONT LIKE AT ALL is Fred constantly trashing himself and acting like LB was some big corny mistake - he even did that shiat on stage at the above show.

Can you believe people boo'd him when he walked out? I couldnt believe that shiat... so many people are two-faced about music artists. You all liked LB back in 2000 and so many people hate on Fred now.

And for the record, the show he put on was really really good - I have seen a LOT of live shows and after getting boo'd and trashing himself he put on one of the top 30 performances that I have seen.

Honestly, nobody really took his band 'seriously' but that doesnt make it any less of a good rock/rap band. I just wish that Fred would quit trashing himself with every other word.

"I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away!"

"The master would not approve."

"The woman is all we want. The others must die. They all must die. We do not even want the woman!"

"You have failed us Torgo. For this you must die."

10 Bucks says Durst embarks on a remake of Manos, Hands of Fate. Funny thing is, the original director was a fertilizer salesman and returned to that very job after Manos came out.

I can see a creepy little co-incidence there!

He claimed that trash he was putting out was "music".

Seriously, there's only been one decent Limp Bizkit song in... EVER.

That's not a bass in his hand.

Never liked LB - EVAR. Loved how he said he'd beat Scott Stapp's ass. Scott Stapp challenged him to a charity boxing match. Fred Durst then backed out, saying he was against violence. Fred - it's Scott freaking Stapp.
