Critics say the machines cause a more rapid, intense buzz because the alcohol moves through the lungs instead of the digestive system

Funny, thats what supporters say too!

It's more fun by enema anyway, whooooooooooooooooie!!

In Soviet Michigan, alcohol vaporizes YOU!

2005-12-28 04:04:36 PM
I'm waiting for the followup story of where they are LEGAL - I need to get one of these things...

No, ALCOHOL promotes alcohol abuse and underage drinking.

/Having a penis or a vagina promotes underage sex.

I like the old fashioned way, belly up to the bar and start drinking.

2005-12-28 04:05:10 PM
this story makes me want to try this

i didnt think there was a way to get alcohol into me faster than i already can....

2005-12-28 04:06:25 PM
Yeah, nice informative article. Isn't my state great?

We also lead the WORLD in churches per capita, and had the only McDonald's to EVER be closed on Sunday.

And yet... somehow... we are a blue state.

2005-12-28 04:06:46 PM
I think the liquor companies are behind the authorities...I assume ounce for ounce less booze is required.

2005-12-28 04:06:48 PM
in college we used to put vodka in the, eh er, tabacco bong. made the cheap, eh er tobacco more effective

2005-12-28 04:07:07 PM
Jebus! Did they outlaw the beer bong as well?

2005-12-28 04:07:08 PM
Drinking age restrictions encourage underage drinking. Want an easy way to get your son/daughter to be a raging alcoholic in college? Forbid them to drink growing up. Such bad parents in this world

dly

The machines themselves made Fark several months ago, but heck if I want to wade through the Farkives to find the thread(s).

"Yes, I may have consumed alcohol on occasion in the past, but I NEVER inhaled."

eye Am

That was a great Fark story/follow-up; where a guy died from alcohol poisoning through enema, and they tried to pin it on the wife but she said "He is an enema junky. Here is the proof."

I'm pretty sure she walked.

Worked for me! ;)

2005-12-28 04:10:27 PM
Why don't they just go up to Maine and inhale those ocean farts?

2005-12-28 04:10:41 PM
Me?

Sven_Burger is right, I live just south west of Grand Rapids and this town was in the Guinness book of world records for most Churches per square mile...kinda sick.

anyway, I've lived and drank in Michigan my entire life...and I've never heard of this device. I think they're just make sh*t up again.

This machine kills facists amd allows you to inhale alcohol!

2005-12-28 04:11:20 PM
The Gov. probably just made the AWOL the most popular item in the state by making it illegal.

/Doh!

2005-12-28 04:11:31 PM
Meh, you ain't missing much. I read an article (wish to hell I had a link to it now) that said you have to sit at one of those machines for something like an hour to get the equivalent of one shot. Give me a good ol' fashioned shot glass any day. It looks much less silly than a gas mask and some guy panting at a bar!

Thanks Mom and Dad!

Whoops, I mean, thanks government for treating me like a child!

Coming next - mainlining ethanol. Shot shots.

2005-12-28 04:14:22 PM
It looks like they will need to recalibrate the breathalyzer machines for this one.

2005-12-28 04:14:26 PM
Gee, it's only $314. Let's all get one!

2005-12-28 04:19:29 PM
Hey, Representative Rick Jones, time to get a clue, dude.

Our farked up society promotes alcohol abuse as well as drug abuse not some dumb machine. What a dumass.

2005-12-28 04:19:29 PM
...AWOL machines. Violators face up to 90 days in jail and a 500 dollar fine.

I always thought that the penalty for being AWOL was much higher.

What a big bunch of Stupid.

2005-12-28 04:21:03 PM
No suprise, they can't even make REAL left turns their either.

2005-12-28 04:22:24 PM
This is great. Who has time to drink these days? While you are at it...Why not cut to the chase and throw in your weed too?
I should market it worldwide as the Party-o-Matic Machine. I'd be a b-gillionaire by year's end.

/Could've used one back in the day for pre-concert preparation.

2005-12-28 04:22:30 PM
Living in Michigan, I bet they outlawed it because that biatch Gov. Granholm couldn't figure out how to tax the hell out of it. We have such a thing as the "sin" tax here in the land o' lakes.

2005-12-28 04:23:50 PM
Representative Rick Jones of Grand Ledge introduced the bill. Jones, a former county sheriff, said the machines promote alcohol abuse and underage drinking.

I think they're scared that a device might take away business from Television, radio, Hollywood. Seriously, like anything could promote alcohol more than what's already out there.

Why not a gin & tonic I.V. system? Or the Jager Colonic?

more like underage inhaling?

Holy Jebus! $314 = 930 cans of Miller High Life Light which = me and my friends geting farked up every night for about 3-4 weeks.

2005-12-28 04:32:26 PM
Looks exactly like my kid's asthma atomizer system...hmmm....

Looks like they designed the website while drunk as well.

You know, I get the same effect by holding a shot of vodka in my mouth and then inhaling over it. The alcohol vaporizes and heads straight to my lungs, and it packs one hell of a punch.
