Oh man I hope he addresses that rumor.

Yes, if by "rumor" you mean "I have had a lethal overdose of Koolaid and require immediate medical attention"

Bush could be the beginning of the end for the GOP as we know it.

Was Richard Nixon, thirty years ago?

I don't think George Bush will be either.

One question.

How many times did he use the word "imperialism"?

Zero? Tsk, tsk. All these years together and you people still can't communicate. I'll check back in a few more years and see if you've learned to be honest with one another.

I just found this headline in my local paper..

"Prez warns an Iraq pullout would damage America's reputation"

Insert Irony tag here...

Rejected George W Bush Campaign Slogans: Rich ideas for rich people. Ideas for people without ideas. A smirk you can trust. Honor and character without the characters. Not just daddy's little boy anymore. Everyday plans from every day people. Simple ideas from a simpleton. It's the impeachment stupid! Vote for George W. and get daddy too.

Why's everyone getting pissed about Family Guy - it was a rerun anyway.

I hate Bush. I think the only reason he made office is that most of the people who voted are older and well, SENILE and easily duped.

just bringing in some fresh wood for the fire

where I stand on w, for now.

-the iraq war was his mistake (huge). he ignored the advice of wiser men listening only to ideological fools who see the world as they wish it was rather than as it is.

-I think over the next few months the bets bush has placed in iraq will either turn and bite him in the ass (most likely) or work our like the true believers have always thought it would (good luck).
major problems to watch for:
the constitution must be reworked to the satisfaction of the sunni's (don't forget this draft of the constitution was pushed through with the promise that the sunni's concerns will be addressed). this will involve smoothing over issues that could not be resolved even with several extensions last summer. pretending this is a done deal, as many big bush fans do, is plain stupid.

if the Shiite United Iraqi Alliance (sistani backed shiites) comes out of this election with a clear majority (I believe they are in the lead as of now). we have the very real possibility of iraq becoming very cozy with iran. another very real problem that was obviously either ignored or minimized through rosy rhetoric during the lead up to this optional war.

there are any number of chaotic influences that could make all our efforts, men, money, and resources spent in iraq a total waste. if in the next few months all the lofty wishes of the architects of this war don't pan out we're in deep shiat. to the bush optimists I say, ignoring potential problems doesn't make them go away. I hope all these risks taken with little regard for any possible negative result work out for the sake of our country. in case you haven't noticed the guys who planned for this war have been WAY off in many, if not most of their predictions.

-While I'd like to think he was honestly doing what he thought was right (hmmmm). I think the wiretaps should have been approved by a judge, as is the law. I think his willingness to cast aside rules that were established to protect our rights as american citizens is misguided and unwise to say the least.

I'm sure it's been quoted in this thread already, but...
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

That dumbass just said something about the constitution of Iraq being a guarantee of their freedoms. Haha hope their leader is not like Bush. Goddamned piece of paper.

My extreme rage at the "pre-empting" of Family Guy was quickly replaced by relief when I switched channels to find that the Bears game was still on. And when FG finally did air, it was an excellent episode, so all is forgiven.

Call me unpatriotic, but I've completely tuned out the Iraq war.
I just don't give a fcuk anymore. I guess I appreciate that people are putting their lives on the line, etc, etc, but the whole Mom and apple pie patriotism thing is just so far removed from where I'm at. You dig it, fine. I just don't care. At all.

At this time last year, there were only a handful of Iraqi army and police battalions ready for combat. Now, there are more than 125 Iraqi combat battalions fighting the enemy more than 50 are taking the lead and we have transferred more than a dozen military bases to Iraqi control.

Hmmm, less than three months ago there was only 1 battalion ready, down from 3. Now there are 125? Impressive.

A few anarchist leftist talking points:

what pile of bullshiat. I'd like to see if there's even one person who would agree with all your 'leftist talking points'. anyone?

you've set up all your imaginary opponents arguments for them and left it at that. nice work.

vfunct talking points:

* bush is never wrongif president bush doesn't think the constitution applies in a post 9/11 world let him burn it.

* property rights what I do with a dog I bought and paid for is none of your business.

now that I've solidified your position for you, I guess I could just go ahead and argue against your points. see how that works?

Can someone give me a real example of someones rights being violated?? Seriously. I've seen protestors in front of the White House (I've talked to them...they aqre CRAZY) with sighs stating 9/11 was an inside job. I've seen the most Anti-Bush person ever (Cindy Sheehan) been given more TV airtime than President Bush.

Bush is spying on people...oooh..so was Clinton...And Clinton used the IRS/tax audits to attack his political enemies. Democrat leaders like Reid and Pelosi both knew and signed off on NSA intelligence gathering.

My life has been no different. You're life has been no different. If you can't see politics in action you shouldnt be allowed to vote. The Democrats are losing...quite badly, they are doing anything they can to turn it around.

Let's see..Iraq has held elections, framed a constitution, removed a murderous dictator, begun the training of their own army, and held what how many free election toward their own government. Yeah, I wish Bush hadnt gone in either.
We should totally leave.

The liberals tried to get Rove..and failed. They tried to get Libbey...and they got him on obstruction of justice and making false statements (a slap on the wrist). You might as well throw in a speeding ticket and J-walking...that'll teach him for messing with the DEMS...Grrrrrrrr

Throw some more stuff against the wall see what sticks.... youre doing great so far...you guys are so clueless it's almost funny

I don't agree with sheehan and this statement was pulled from your ass.

Bush is spying on people...oooh..so was Clinton...And Clinton used the IRS/tax audits to attack his political enemies. Democrat leaders like Reid and Pelosi both knew and signed off on NSA intelligence gathering.

as someone who isn't suckling from the teet of either party. please explain to me how this statement works to absolve bush. it's the kind of excuse children would use.

The liberals tried to get Rove..and failed.a

as far as rove goes, the grand jury is still out one. were you unaware of that? or does it make you feel better to bullshiat yourself?
I don't know that rove will get into any trouble and you sure as hell don't KNOW that he's in the clear. again you're talking out of your ass.

They tried to get Libbey...and they got him on obstruction of justice and making false statements (a slap on the wrist). You might as well throw in a speeding ticket and J-walking...that'll teach him for messing with the DEMS...Grrrrrrrr

you think 5 counts handed down by a grand jury including obstruction of justice and making false statements is a slap on the wrist? maybe one of the lawyers here on fark could educate you better than I, but suffice it to say...you're wrong.

Bush doesn't deserve the blame for his administration; the voters do. The voters demanded leadership that wouldn't give them uncertainty, gray areas, and intellectual hair-splitting. So Bush took the intelligence on Iraq and turned it into a plain dumb certainty. That's exactly what America asked for in 2000 and again in 2004. And that's what we got.
