Sad story... funny headline, though!

But that's probably not much consolation for the bereaved widow... but then, she probably doesn't read Fark threads.

I keep seeing all these comments about horse men... what about the timber man mentioned in the article? I mean I love centaurs as much as the next guy...

/sorry, felt like it rated a (dumb) comment

Satan_Himself: No Such Agency, how about not posting NSFW images, asshat?

I swear I honestly didn't notice the hazy poster or whatever that is in the background. That is the SFW'est pic of the guy I could find...

There was nothing freak about it. Horses are unpredictable and dangerous. If you are a mountain biker or hiker in an area with horses you know how much deference they must be given. They are, after all, prey animals and while a predator like a dog may act agressively when scared, a horse will just try to get the fark out of danger -- no matter who or what is attached to it. People getting killed/maimed by frightened horses is about as "freak" as people getting killed/maimed by motorcycles or drunk drivers.
Never trust anything bigger and stupider than you.

I've ridden horses for over 30 years. They are the noblest and most honorable creatures on the planet. They have served us, and suffered for us, borne our burdens, obeyed our wishes and thrilled us with their power, beauty and grace.

Anybody who mistreats them has a special place in Hell waiting for them.
