Anderson Cooper is the son of Glorida Vanderbilt

He must be uber-rich.
2005-11-02 09:46:39 PM
Wow, I'd forgotten all about Channel One! Thanks for the reminder boys and girls!
2005-11-02 09:52:04 PM
I remember watching anderson goof up on CNN at 3am when everyone else was asleep. those night shifters have a lot of fun. Too bad their day personas are so drab.

"I have the anger inside me, Anderson"

Anyone remember that little jem?
2005-11-02 09:52:31 PM
Anderson Cooper must be bi-sexual.
I saw him give Mary Landry an arse reaming on live TV after Katrina. It was awesome. More reporters need to take weasely politicians to task on live TV.
2005-11-02 09:53:37 PM
Good. Eff him. I have long been completely and utterly amazed at how someone at CNN looked at Aaron Brown's previous work and said, "Oh, yeah, get me that guy. He's our Cronkite."

Please. Little nasally, geeky beeyotch.
2005-11-02 09:54:08 PM
Seriously; why Brown? Why not Dobbs? Is he still ranting about immigration woes or did he go back to keeping the Enron scoreboard? He has two gimmicks, and does both poorly. He is CNN's answer to O'reily.

Somebody at CNN needs to shuffle him from his mortal coil.
2005-11-02 09:54:17 PM
That's the greatest headline I have ever read.
2005-11-02 09:54:25 PM
I always thought Aaron Brown was the gay one.
2005-11-02 09:54:33 PM
Did not RTFA. Headline was entertainment enough. Kudos.

2005-11-02 10:01:54 PM
My girlfriend agrees with you. She's all bummed out because she never gets to see CNN over in Ireland

What? No CNNEurope?

Then again, CNNEurope sucks balls compared to other regional CNN channels.

*throws lemon at submitter*
2005-11-02 10:04:14 PM
Brown is a tard.

He lost me when he kept walking along the street with a firefighter on 9/12/01 trying to get him to elaborate what they were finding in the rubble.

Firefighter finally just stopped, looked at him, and said, "What do you think we're finding?"

And yes, that is a fabulous headline. FABULOUSSSSS!!!!!

Throws a cart full of tomatoes at Alexandra
2005-11-02 10:14:16 PM
No_47: HEY! Hang on a second.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. WAIT!

Lois, this is NOT my Batman glass.
2005-11-02 10:17:55 PM
It looks like Aaron will now have some time to really work on his golf game.
2005-11-02 10:20:37 PM
They should have gotten rid of Brit Hume, instead of Aaron Brown. He is even more rabidly biased than everyone except O'Rielly. He's awful.
2005-11-02 10:22:54 PM
Good Brown is gone. Now how's about not just more Anderson but more Lou Dobbs? Seeing him make the CEO of Boeing look like a total dunce was priceless. Also watching him make Paul Begalla squirm in his seat was comedy gold.
2005-11-02 10:25:01 PM

Then again, CNNEurope sucks balls compared to other regional CNN channels.

It's called CNN International.

And Zain Verjee, who does this afternoon show "Your World Today" (afternoons, CET) is hot. Yes, hotter than Myrna Minkoff.
2005-11-02 10:29:36 PM
I'm going to miss Aaron Brown. He was a class act and an excellent anchor. I do not really care for Anderson Cooper as an anchor, he is better as a reporter/hurricane gimp.

To think that I'll never get to hear Brown's unique and sometimes bizarre coverage of the weather in Chicago at the end of his show.

I think that FoxNews should pick up Aaron as an anchor and replace O'Reilly with him. It would lend more credability/likability to the outler.
2005-11-02 10:32:16 PM
Oh he's so hot. He's so hot! Yeah, he's also gay. I love it how insecure girls adore gay guys so they can have a crush that will never be dashed because of their unique flaws or lack of good looks.
2005-11-02 10:33:21 PM
One "Mole" reference in the whole thread?

For shame. Anderson's finest work.

/tiny bubbles....
2005-11-02 10:46:04 PM
Headline of the month.

Go submitter

(still wondeirng why Fark has never gotten around to listing submitter names...)
2005-11-02 10:50:45 PM
Good riddance to bad cess. Fark Aaron Brown.
2005-11-02 10:55:34 PM
Shepard Smith is gay too.
2005-11-02 11:03:06 PM
Headlice: /better not be Lou Dobbs

But Lou Dobbs obviously needs to get blown, desperatly! By *either* sex!
2005-11-02 11:07:23 PM
Oh, and more on point, every CNN anchor annoys me in their various mannerisms.

I once wrote feedback to CNN that the way Anderson Cooper said...
"Thank you very Muueuch."
...annoyed the heck out of me. I didn't say it sounded gay but that I disliked the manner of speaking. An annoying mannerism and pronunciation.
Within a week he stopped doing it.!

I really think my eloquent comment to CNN helped make that happen. I think he may have even read it. That would be cool.

I am still not a huge fan of Cooper but I do like him dodging objects thrown by hurricanes. ;)
2005-11-02 11:09:34 PM
Nicely done with he headline. Not one word out of place, and not the least bit wordy. Props to submitter.
2005-11-02 11:36:47 PM
It helps when your mum's a Vanderbilt.
2005-11-02 11:50:28 PM
I thought Aaron Brown was ok, just out of place as "the face of the network". So, I'm not particularly glad to see him leave the network entirely. It reflects badly on the management that they're fishing for a personality to front the network. Clueless farkers.

Aaron, come back to Seattle. All is forgiven.
2005-11-03 12:16:51 AM
*golf clap*

Just chiming in with another "Anderson Cooper is farking hot" post. :)

/at least my best friend would stand a chance
2005-11-03 12:32:48 AM

great headline
2005-11-03 12:47:32 AM
No ifs, ands, or howevers: that's a better headline than I'll ever write.
2005-11-03 01:01:43 AM
Too bad really - I liked Aaron Brown, I usually watched him on the newscast in Seattle and he was a likeable anchor with a good delivery (although for some reason on CNN, it sounded like he was talking with a bag of marbles in his mouth sometimes).

Anderson Cooper is pretty good, although he has a flair for the dramatic in his "on-location reporting" that just looks tacky if you try it as an anchor...

2005-11-03 01:03:05 AM
Wanted to compliment submitter. All approved cliche's have been used. Will sit quietly in awe.

We know Anderson may be a witty reporter, but he's no cunning linguist.
2005-11-03 01:15:29 AM
A Confederacy of Dunces is a hell of a great book. Sucks that the author committed suicide.
2005-11-03 01:23:14 AM
i tried to rtft, think i'm the first to say:

/probably not
//great headline though

EricB: That is funny, right there.
2005-11-03 06:13:48 AM
I can't decide to laugh of be offended.

But, that's pretty much the general theme of Fark anyway. Good job on the headline. :)
2005-11-03 06:46:34 AM
Liked Brown, don't care for Cooper. Seems like they're trading an intellectual for a homosexual (not that there's anything...).
2005-11-03 07:44:37 AM
I love how Heffalumps idolize gay men so they can have an attachment to a man that will never explode in their faces.
2005-11-03 07:57:38 AM
The main ability for this position is reading from a teleprompter. Brown managed to do that while speaking about 80% of his lines through his nose. He had a way of sounding smarmy and condescending at that same time.

Since the job is just graphical backing for a reading off a teleprompter, if they knew what was good for them, CNN would become the Rudi Bahtiar channel.
2005-11-03 09:12:49 AM
1) Brown was much better when he was on at 3 in the morning on ABC. I think Darrell Hammond nailed it a couple weeks ago on SNL with "I'm Aaron Brown, and yes, I'm better than you."

2) Why does anybody care if Anderson Cooper likes the buttseccs? Seems like he's making no effort to hide it OR to make it an issue. So neither should we. However ... fabulous headline, regardless.

3) I will resist the urge to say "MyrnaMinkoff is farking hot," although MyrnaMinkoff is indeed a fetching creature who hopefully takes all this fawning over from geekboys with a grain of salt.
2005-11-03 09:19:34 AM
the situation room is too long as is...someones got to stop the blitzer blitzkreig

/bring back crossfire
/and anderson, get your ass back to abc to host the mole
2005-11-03 09:24:57 AM

2005-11-03 09:32:27 AM
Bwahahahahahahahaha! Cooper is a frickin' game show host.

What next Bob Barker on Fox news?
2005-11-03 09:34:03 AM
I prefer Anderson to Aaron myself, Ab comes off a little like a primadonna. Coop is a pretty cool guy, at least in my book. Not into himself at all, just not sure he wants to be the center of attention, and that's not bad. No one likes an attention whore...

Then again, I see AC a lot more. He's got an office, but keeps a desk in the middle of his newsroom floor so he can watch what's going on, stay in the middle of things. Never seen AB outside his office, unless he was on the way somewhere.
