"Good evening, I'm Linda Hamilton, and welcome to channel 8 eyewitness news. Your next meal could kill you. Millions dead after eating a toxic food that is probably killing you as I speak! Here's a hint: it's the most common ingredient in your food! But first! Sports with Dick Dickers!"

LOL. I see that you have seen this "local news" before.

You guys are all biatches. The best thanksgiving dinner is a canary inside a duck inside a chicken inside turkey inside a vulture inside a pheasant inside an ostrich inside an emu inside a velociraptor. Secret family recipe for years.

Don't worry turn vegan.

Bush has to shake things up to take attention off the messes his administration have made.

The sad part is the right wingers won't wake up and smell the (rotting) turkey.

15,000 US citizens wounded in Iraq
2,000 plus US citizens killed in Iraq

When is it going to end?

Dancin_In_Anson: No cats...dogs...they get the neck and "schniggles" as we carve up the bird...mamarita gets way pissed, but she gets over it...And the pups just love it!

I don't think it's considered a good idea for a dog to eat turkey.

I always thought Thanksgiving was the holiday from hell. Fighting relatives, disgusting obese relatives, and non stop whining and crying from the kids. I think staying home and making a grill cheese sandwich is a better choice.

2005-11-02 01:55:06 PM
Maybe the Presidential turkey shouldn't get that pardon this year. I mean, if it's carrying avian flu and all.

Burn it! Burn the flu carrying bird!!!11~!

Don't trust a bird coming from this guy!

Man, not in our family. Our stressful holiday is Christmas for some reason, even though we have more people get together for Thanksgiving. It's the perfect holiday really. I don't think turkey is required for everyone (but it certainly wouldn't be the same at our house), it's just a day to eat a bunch of good food, maybe watch some football, drink some beers, etc. God, I love thanksgiving.

I'd like to add that there's not a single god damned thing that the media, politicians, or anyone else can do to ruin my favorite holiday for me.

Symptoms of Bird Flu:

- Uncontrollable squaking
- Yelling "Hallelujah!" at random
- Loss of finesse or no personality
- Only sexy people get the Bird Flu
- White folks tend to get much too tight, while the black folks shake their heads
- Victims only give themselves 10 seconds to get to the dance floor

/what time is it?!?!

First it was AIDS for people who suck cock, now it's avian flu for people who eat cock. Maybe next year they will have cat fever for people who eat pussy, but until then I am not afraid.

I can't believe it took this long for some ass-clown to blame Bush. Somebodie's slipping!

No, no no. It goes ameba, gnat, fly, bee, hummingbird, canary, duck, chicken, turkey, vulture, pheasant, ostrich, emu, raptor, t-rex, and finally, one of those turtles that holds up the world.

supreme court who?

Hey. Look over here.

2005-11-02 02:07:13 PM
For my extra kick: I stuff the ameba, gnat, fly, bee, hummingbird, canary, duck, chicken, turkey, vulture, pheasant, ostrich, emu, raptor, t-rex, and back-world turtle into Orson Wells. for that extra sealed-in-goodness.

2005-11-02 02:07:22 PM

did someone say cat fever?

2005-11-02 02:09:32 PM
All your turkey are belong to bird flu.

2005-11-02 02:10:17 PM
MadWeasel: Not kidding at all. Anyplace they sell those gi-normous "turkey" legs, you're really getting emu. Disney, Medieval Times, Rennaisance fairs, etc. etc.

It's a pretty ugly bird (like turkeys are beauty queens), but you really can't tell much of a difference in taste IMHO.

2005-11-02 02:13:21 PM
Well maybe they should have put the pandemic alert after thanksgiving to scare the bejesus out of people.

On another note, whats up with the word pandemic, is it just like fantabulous. And yes i did already ask this question.

I think the US will be safe this year. No one got avian flu for Canadian Thanksgiving. We played guinea pig for y'all and it was a-okay.

Oh, and GurneyHalleck, you took the words right outta my mouth. Karma can be a scary thing, eh?

2005-11-02 02:19:49 PM
Oh, those crazy media people.

No one had even considered turkeys carrying the disease until they brought it up, and even then, they debunk their whole article with "researchers say it's probably not going to be a big deal."

We need a tag for fearmongering articles.

nine-times: Avian bird flu", however, is merely redundant.

actually, it's very specific, and differentiates human bird flu, of which there are many strains already.
