As a Packers fan, I don't mind seeing the Vikings lose their QB. But as a football fan, I really hated seeing him take that hit. Let me vouch for it... side shots at the knees like that can be VERY painful.

2005-10-31 03:53:41 PM
he tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL.. did he forget to tear anything else? patella tendon?

2005-10-31 04:24:05 PM

Terminal Frost: sucks to be you, Daunte

ummm, did you read the part about the sex cruises? Sucks to not be Daunte. Injury or not.

Bears: NFC NORTH CHAMPS.

PRINT IT.

2005-10-31 05:32:57 PM
I can't stand the Vikings, but I hate to see Dante go down. Would have rather they taken out Tice's knees. With that being said, at least Dante doesn't have to suffer through the Vike's "season from hell" on the gridiron. He can get healthy and join the team next year with a brand new coach.

Go Hawks.

Does this mean the Vikings will start losing games now?

Do not taunte the Daunte!

Or go ahead. What does he care?

2005-10-31 05:44:10 PM
Lessee... More time on sex cruises? Or get hammered week after week by hyped-up goons for a crappy team going nowhere?

Wise choice.

2005-10-31 05:47:32 PM
sucks to be you, Daunte

Poor guy, he is now going to collect millions of dollars to not play.

Man, my heart really goes out to this man in such a tragic situation.

I don't want to see anyone injured, but in situations like this it is hard for me to have any sympathy. I would trade places with him in a heartbeat.

Love Boat soon will be making another run

The Love Boat promises something for everyone

That knee injury is really going to limit the sexual maneuvers he can participate in.

Goddamn do I ever need a sex cruise.

2005-10-31 06:06:45 PM
I liked my headline better:

"Another Minnesota Viking goes down... this time, it's due to injury: Culpepper out for the season"

/Then again, who doesn't like their headline better...

2005-10-31 06:14:06 PM
Hey, that's not an ESPN article!

-5 points for improper identification

2005-10-31 06:17:09 PM
rdhogan7713: Would have rather they taken out Tice's knees.

That makes two of us.

2005-10-31 06:17:13 PM
it was his fault for not sliding that run in. he got greedy and now his season is over.

2005-10-31 06:18:12 PM
The Vikings are proper farked.

2005-10-31 06:18:32 PM
I have but the following three words, which when read with "now is the starting QB for the Viqueens" equates to winning the division title:

B DOT JOHNSON

2005-10-31 06:21:58 PM
As a minnesotian I couldn't be happier. Fumbles isn't that great of a quarterback. He can't hold on to the ball, and he is dumb as a post. Brad will lead us to victory

/no he wont.
//but the games might be worth watching now.
///eat a dick daunte

2005-10-31 06:28:52 PM
That's Racist.

2005-10-31 06:32:15 PM
This sucks. I really hope the people of Minnesota say FU to the Vikings and not build them a new stadium forcing the Vikes to move to Vegas (only because its the cheapest place for a Canadian to travel to in the states).

2005-10-31 06:40:07 PM
Not racist if it is true... We got rid of the offense when we lost the line. Culpepper is nothing without a moving company in front of him. He can run, he can look to 4th and 5th receivers, but he tries to make things happen that aren't there. It is like playing a racing game on a computer vs. driving the real car. On the computer you take risks that could cause you to have a digger, but in real life you are not ofered that option. You do what you can to maximize the outcome, but for heavens sakes, you don't throw off you back foot (over throw)and you don't try to pass in to double and tripple coverage, especially as late as daunte does.

BTW - Ther eare only 3 or 4 good/great QB's in teh league. The rest are just holding down the job until a great one comes along. Farve is past his prime. I would take a old and busted Farve to a brand new Culpepper anyday and I'm from MN.

2005-10-31 06:43:26 PM
And he wasn't even supposed to *be* there that day.

2005-10-31 06:47:24 PM
005-10-31 05:58:23 PM Doggan

YES! This is the Packers opportunity!
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Actually, this isn't good news for the Packers. Having to live in Minnesota, but being a die-hard Packer fan (I'm from Milwaukee), my only options are watching Vikings broadcasts. Culpepper was probably the number one reason why the Vikings suck. Granted they have no defensive secondary or really a rushing defense, but when you throw 12 interceptions in the first 3 or 4 games, you've got to be replaced. Culpepper would've probably been used less and Brad Johnson used more if it weren't for the fact that they spent so much damn money on Culpepper.

My prediction is that the Vikings will slowly creep up the standings of a very poor performing Central Division. This is the best thing to happen to the Vikings since getting rid of Randy Moss. Both can be talented athletes--when they want to.

2005-10-31 06:55:48 PM
Fred Smoot is Steve Smith's biatch. The NFC North shouldn't get a playoff spot.

That is all.

2005-10-31 07:05:18 PM
Finally, an excuse to drop Culpepper from my fantasy team!

2005-10-31 07:10:06 PM
fine, the only Giants game I have tickets for this year and first they let Randy Moss go and now Culpepper is out. Where's Gene Hackman and The Replacements?

2005-10-31 07:10:48 PM
As a Browns fan, i will not try to poke fun at the Vikings fans.

2005-10-31 07:21:27 PM
He's got the coolest name ever. I'll give him that.

2005-10-31 07:24:45 PM
Acclivus - look at it this way, your Giants will win now.

Well, ok, they would've anyway, but it's written in granite now.

/Vikes fan in MN
//2-14 and Reggie Bush please
///not likely but it's all we have to hope for

2005-10-31 07:27:41 PM
PurpleHaze - these are the kind of games that the Giants lose on a regular basis.

2005-10-31 07:31:14 PM
Well it's about f*cking time...I've been waiting for an injury like this for 3 years now.

/Vikings fan

2005-10-31 07:47:08 PM
Well, at least I can drop him off my fantasy football team now. Couldn't get rid of him before because of the no cut list on yahoo, and noone with more than 6 brain cells would accept a trade for him with the crappy season he was having.

2005-10-31 07:55:23 PM
Maybe Jim McMahon is available.
