ratbert: It would have been perfect had he been dressed in a Burger King costume.

Oh my gawd, I never thought about that. You're so right. I hope BK buys the right to use the footage and dubs in Da' King.

This goes to show how American football is a poofs game. I was watching a fight the other day and a game of rugby broke out.

No padding, no helmets, and bigger balls.

2005-10-31 05:03:22 PM
That guy got past the offensive line? Jeez, no wonder they are 1-6.

Seriously easy way to prevent this.
Whoever the home team is, automatic loss due to forefeit.

You know that's a retarded idea, right?

jst3p: Favre is a QB who was once great, but is now mediocre at best. he played through injuries and in doing so hurt his team just to continue a streak of consecutive starts. Ever since curing his addiction to pain killers he has been lack luster at best.

Well. Just look here and try to say that again with a straight face.

/sorry but the HTML skilz suck

Farve should have gone with it and handed the ball off to the guy. Then rolled out and pump faked like he normally does on run plays.

With A. Green out and the number 2 running back out, who even knows whose 3rd on the depth chart, maybe it was an audition.

I can't get the video to load, has anyone been able to snag it off that site and re-host?

I could only get the thing to play with EI. Firefox (both on Linux & NT) would not play it. My guess is the site has MSIE-only tags, or just bugs in general.

For example, the "drag" part of their design seems to work, but thier "drop" does nothing (both on IE & firefox).

What, no one has said it yet?

Who-Dey!

Plays fine on FF here.

The only reason things like this keep happening is that people who do it get a slap on the wrist.

The next time someone runs out on the field, a timeout should be called, and the players there should have the authority to restrain him, and 5 minutes to beat and humiliate him as they see fit.

When they're done messing with him, his body (or corpse) should be hoisted up and suspended in the middle of one of the goalposts. If a FG or extra point happens to bounce off of him, every one in the stadium gets free nachos and beer.

/I would make it so

jst3p:

As a Packer fan and someone who doesn't believe Favre is "the football god" the man is obviously the best player on that team and has absolutely no one around him to help. The only reason the team stays in games is due to his talent and skill.

He's lost his 3 Wide receivers, including his 2 best. They've lost their center, 2 guards, and top 2 running backs. That doesn't leave him with much on offense. Their defense was terrible last year and they did absolutely nothing to make it better, it may be worse this year. The years they were in the Super Bowl they were a playoff team at best and Favre made them champs. The last couple of years they've made the playoffs they were a .500 team at best and Favre made them playoff bound. He's saved more games then I can count with his arm. But he's not god, football is a team sport, which is why the Pack is 1-6. With him, they are still competitive enough that they have only been blown out once so far this year. Without him, they would be the laughing stock of the NFL.

Agreed he is the best player on that team, but you have to admit at this point, that isn't saying much.

My point is he he should have thrown in the towel as he is obviously on the decline. 5 picks? Come on now. And what in the world was that "thing" he ran at the end of the game?

Without him, they would be the laughing stock of the NFL.

psst.... they are. Houston just pulled even with them in the standings.

2005-10-31 05:34:27 PM
did you hear the guy say "We ordinarily wouldn't even put this on the air, but security blah blah blah."
That's almost funnier than the incident itself...

2005-10-31 05:34:30 PM
Ooohhh....that's just good football fun :) Calm down officials...it's not like he stole meat from the altar of God or anything...lol

i owe this guy a beer....

2005-10-31 05:41:22 PM
That superimposed King one made it that much better, although I thought it was pretty good without.

Am I the only one who had no idea that there was an NFL team called the Cincinnati Bengals?

/clueless.

I'm a stupid drunk myself, and even I think that this guy is an idiot. 30 years old, and this is probably the highlight of his life. Sad.

2005-10-31 06:07:40 PM
Supposedly at the last FSU game someone ran onto the field dressed as the BK King. No video or pics yet, but if anyone else has 'em that would be great!

2005-10-31 06:11:20 PM
Ok jst3p i guess you can respond to mjspawn and just ignore the facts I linked to.

Fact is is that Favre has done pretty well since his substance abuse controversy. Fact is is that Favre's stats this year are not that far off of his historical stats. Fact is is that Favre has actually scored a better QB rating in some of the years after his substance abuse scandle as he had during some of the years of such said scandle.

Fact is is that you are an asshat.

/wear it well

2005-10-31 06:22:52 PM
As if Favre didn't have enough turnovers already...

2005-10-31 06:23:17 PM
Something's not there with Favre this season, but he just doesn't seem to have any zip on the ball.

I used to play racquetball at a highly competitive level, and I remember times on the 3rd day of a long tournament where my arm didn't have any "pop" in it. I wasn't hurting, and everything felt fine, but when I swung there was just nothing there. Well, this is how Brett looks right now. The reason I mention this is I could still win by attempting to outsmart my oppenent, and that looks like what Brett Favre is trying to do these days, but sadly he has lost so much of his team this past offseason that it isn't working this year.

2005-10-31 06:23:35 PM
Even the coach thought that was funny. I'd like to hear the reaction on the benches and from the fans. I bet they went nuts over that!

2005-10-31 06:24:41 PM
mjspawn: Their defense was terrible last year and they did absolutely nothing to make it better, it may be worse this year.

I disagree. Their defense seems vastly improved, and has kept them in most games. Unfortunately, their secondary is still inept, and they still get tons o' penalties.

For all the asshats complaining about Favre and/or the O line not giving this guy a pounding, note that not a single player saw him coming, as he ran up from behind. If anyone should get reamed for not nailing him, it's the Bengals defensive line, which could have seen him coming from 50 yards away.

Fact is his lifetime QB ranking is good, but not great. Fact is he DID play in games that he should have taken a seat because his ego would not allow him to not start, to the detriment of the team. Fact is FOX has man-love for him and he is overrated.

I will conceed that he was great once, but he is no longer.

Fact is is that you are an asshat.

Fact is I don't give a crap what some Green Bay homer who is bold enough to insult people on the intarweb thinks.

Nice try internet tough guy.

I was at the game. The king ran out of the south endzone and the cops all just waited for him at the north endzone but he broke toward the student section and started jumping up the wall the students grabed him and pulled him in the crowd seconds before the cops were close enought to grab him. The cops looked for a few minutes but they never found him os im pretty sure he got away with it. It was hilarious.

Cincinnati should have drawn a penalty, too many men on the field.

I am not a Packers fan (Go Colts) but I respect Brett Farve. Damn fine QB if you ask me.

Has anyone tried the BK Enormous Omelet Sandwich?

I agree, had that hero not stopped the play, Favre might have thrown his sixth interception of the game

I have the Cincinatti DEF in my Fantasy Football league. I was so hoping for that exact thing. Instead, I got the biggest laugh I've ever had since I started watching football.
