I seem to recall some CHiPs episode where a guy smashed in the windows of his car, with his fists, after getting the fourth speeding ticket in a month.

They didn't charge him in the show because, after all, it was his car.

What can you charge a guy with if he's breaking his own car windows?

I don't know why I'm surprised/disapointed to find the story to be only a few words longer than the headline, and saying the exact same thing.

Well, submitter, *technically* throwing knives at police does impair their ability to arrest him, albeit only temporarily, unless one of the following conditions are met:

A) The police are fearless, to which they would not be afraid of knival penetration (giggle) and arrest the suspect without delay
B) The suspect actually hits a cop with a knife, therefore halting any arrest indefinitely assuming no other cops.
