The webbys are a cheesy, lame, anachronistic juggernaut for snooty Silicon Valley posers. Be GLAD it didn't get nominated. WE know Fark is the best...I'm sure we all tell our friends Fark is the best. Why the fark would you want a bunch of AOL know-nothings to happen upon fark because they think it's won some award that really means nothing? The web isn't the farking movies...why the HELL should there be a award show?

fark that, there are too many people on Fark as it is. I dont want the AOL (l)users finding Fark and turning this in to some farked up version of one of their chat rooms. They will suck up all the bandwidth, forcing more of us to click banners and donate via paypal to pay for a site that they will eventually turn into the internet's version of a drooling contest.

and sorry Solstice but the secret is already out... If you look at the comments thingy for the humor section on the webby site there is already a little battle between NinjaBurger, SA, and fark... And there is no chance of Fark (or any other write in) winning... It would just be nice to get the most write in's.

I voted for fark on all... and added some pro-fark category comments.

On the other webby thread, it WAS pointed out that fark seems to have a lot less original content than these other sites, as we link to other people's content (take today's pimping of several Cosmiverse articles).

The true original content in fark is right here in the "comments thingee", written by visitors of the site, not the admin.

Is fark really a news or humor website? I think they might mean original content, not links to news or humor. Don't get me wrong, it's great but I don't know if it fits.
