Redwings are going to win the cup this year.

2005-10-16 12:20:59 AM
Good thing Hull went to Phoenix with Gretzky before he retired....it would suck if the Wings loost him him mid-season like that.

WINGS 5-1!! Gooooo legace, datsyuk, zetterberg, etc.

2005-10-16 12:21:04 AM
"Jesus saves! But Grtetzky scores on the rebound! Oilers win!"

2005-10-16 12:21:17 AM
Good farking riddance, Hull *spits*.

2005-10-16 12:21:28 AM
His foot was in the crease!

2005-10-16 12:21:28 AM
Gretzky is kind of a dick.

Thanks, Brett.

Stars win the Cup!!

2005-10-16 12:21:46 AM
On second thought, he's striken from foot-in-mouth disease himself.

2005-10-16 12:22:08 AM

he will be sorely missed

2005-10-16 12:23:01 AM
Meanwhile, I can't spell.

/retires

2005-10-16 12:23:26 AM
Nailz: His foot was in the crease!
NO GOAL

2005-10-16 12:25:34 AM
Yeah he just can't stand with his stick in the air waiting for the one-timer like he used to.

/cry me a river

2005-10-16 12:25:40 AM
Brett must've watched an episode of ProStars, then.

/Bo knows retirement

2005-10-16 12:26:46 AM
NO GOAL

2005-10-16 12:26:49 AM

2005-10-16 12:27:20 AM

/sabres are 3-2-0 this year

2005-10-16 12:27:52 AM
He's a whiner but he's a great player.

2005-10-16 12:29:08 AM
Well, yeah. One assist in five games? For a guy that's supposed to produce offense? Ouch.

2005-10-16 12:29:09 AM

2005-10-16 12:30:11 AM

Go Hartford Whalers !!!

Why Arizona has a hockey team instead of Conneticut anyways is silly. Like having a bobsled team ... for Jamaica ?

2005-10-16 12:31:08 AM
GO WINGS!!!!!!

2005-10-16 12:34:10 AM
I find this to be shocking news. I thought he retired years ago.

2005-10-16 12:34:38 AM
I was hoping a kind hearted individual with a shotgun would come out onto the ice in Ottawa tonight and put the Bruins out of their misery. That was just ugly.

/injuries notwithstanding

2005-10-16 12:35:43 AM
control of the puck while in the crease = GOAL

2005-10-16 12:39:38 AM
As grapes would say, a fine ex-Canadian.

btw, It was a goal. ;)

2005-10-16 12:39:49 AM
Why do you hate Canada, Brett?

(Seriously. Gretzky's a god up there. I only spent part of one day in Canada during my entire life so far and you wouldn't believe how many things I saw named after him.)

2005-10-16 12:40:53 AM
Brett- I knew Bobby Hull, I worked with Bobby Hull, and you my friend are no Bobby Hull.

/bring back Dino and Al Iafrate
//Run outta town for cavorting with neferious teenage girls

2005-10-16 12:44:50 AM
That wasn't a goal. According to the rules at the time, since he was in the crease before he had possession of the puck the goal should be called back. The only reason it wasn't called back was because the rule was going to be abolished for the next season and the entire Stars bench was on the ice. Stupid pansy refs...

/wanted Buffalo to win
//Wings fan but I never liked Hull

2005-10-16 12:45:52 AM
he was in the crease before he touched the puck

NO GOAL

/Arizona has a team now?
//ewwwwwwwwwww

2005-10-16 12:45:56 AM
The best interview in hockey. I'll miss the guy.

2005-10-16 12:48:37 AM
Bobby must be going mental over this now, with the whole un-retiring the whole #9 jets/coyotes jersey number and a few weeks later brett retiring

2005-10-16 12:48:53 AM
Brett, for the love of His Holy Noodleness, Do NOT do what Jordan did, and just stay the fark out of sports. Also:
Do not teach others how to cherry pick
Do not hold seminars on how to complain to refs
Do not work with soccer players to improve your acting hurt skills
Do not pass go
Do not collect 200$

2005-10-16 12:48:55 AM
It took the officials less than 30 seconds to get the Cup on to the ice that night. They didn't even review it. According to one of our reporters, there would have been a riot had they played the goal on the video board. They were showing it at the locker room level, Lindy Ruff saw it and started yelling at the referees in the hallway.

Awful call.

2005-10-16 12:49:55 AM
Heres to you dood.

/salut.

2005-10-16 12:50:16 AM
CronoX you're absolutely correct on that assertion

2005-10-16 12:52:50 AM
farking Hull. Soils his father's good name

"oh look at me! Canadian Juniour Team didn't want me, so I'll go play for the American team!"

he doesn't have my sympathy. none at all!

/still a good player, despite my hatred

2005-10-16 12:53:20 AM
Punk? Not harsh enough.

Chump? Still no good.

Jerk? Not quite.

Grade A obnoixious, over rated, symptom of everything that's wrong with hockey, has-been / never was, slacker that made a career out of a good last name and being surrounded by talented young players while constantly flapping his yap?

Yeah, that works. I guess playing hockey sucks when you don't have Datsuyk, Zetterberg, or some other 20 something player that actually skates hard once in a while feeding you, eh Brett?

I was so happy the day he left Detroit, just so I could start hating him again.

/No goal.

2005-10-16 12:53:50 AM
I guess he's not a fan of the between periods sodomy Gretzky is so fond of.

skinink, hockey is about the only sport I really find entertaining to watch. And I lived in CT until last week. I was so sad when the Whalers left!

/go Hartford Whalers!

2005-10-16 01:02:28 AM
NO GOAL

2005-10-16 01:11:31 AM
Thoughts about whether or not it was a legit goal.

Doesn't pop and about.com sucks with that creepy dropping taskbar.

2005-10-16 01:13:44 AM
Brett Hull drinks Sprite?

2005-10-16 01:17:12 AM

Any questions?

(I'm not saying the rule wasn't stupid. I'm just saying, the rule's the rule).

2005-10-16 01:20:46 AM
Never minded Hully making things interesting, on the ice and off...

Had a buddy who caddied a bunch for a couple New York Rangers circa Gretzky's arrival on their team, and apparently all were rippin pissed to have to play with him (was an a-hole way past his prime, but mostly an a-hole).

You know Hull couldn't have been that bad a guy when four Wings (Yzerman, Lidstrom, Chelios, Shanahan) took pay cuts to make room for him... Just sayin...

/GO WINGS!!!
//Avs suckage > Duke Squared...
///sorry...

2005-10-16 01:26:09 AM
Hull was a class act, despite the fact he played for the Red Wings at one point...

SUCK IT RED WINGS!!!

/nice headline, eh!
