"looks like something out of Star Trek"

Not even close.

It makes me aroused.

Just when I thought it was safe to go back to fark, cosmiverse strikes!

Yeah, Frolixo, I thought a couple of those looked awfully phallic. Will be interesting to see if NASA chooses one of those; we haven't had a good nickname for our reusable space vehicles, but that second one just smacks of male genitalia and the third of homoeroticism.

No it doesn't.

Umm, that looks EXACTLY like the pod from Farscape. Watch the opening credits... I kid you not.

And how many billions of dollars did we blow on this thing?
2002-05-01 03:19:22 PM
no, they don't.
the first looks like the design for the iss escape shuttle that's been floating around for decades. the third looks like a daisy chain / double team, and the second one just looks plain old gay.

Will the astronaut-ettes wear miniskirts and boots?

You think that is cool? You should see the turd that came out of my ass yesterday.
As I went to flush it I saw it resembled Louis Farrakhan. So I almost thought of calling The Nation of Islam to let them know that a turd resembling their leader was floating in my toilet but then I realized "I don't want those LOSERS in my house" so I flushed it to a place no man has gone before...{cue Star Trek theme}

Yay, another cosmiverse article with next to zero actual content. Must I say this every time??

Which STAR TREK was the Farker watching? It looks more like something outta MESSAGE FROM SPACE - which I prefer over Star Trek any day of the week...
2002-05-01 04:02:01 PM
call me a geek if you will, but NOTHING in that article even REMOTELY resembles any ships from Star Trek...

In fact, I'd say those designs are more reminiscent of 1950's pulp. You hear that!?! PULP!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that most shuttle missions involved bringing a payload into outer space. Not one of those shuttles had cargo bay doors.

I think that's going to be a major design flaw.

The only reason Cosmiverse never has good articles is because of Microsoft. MS has a monopoly on good news, I hope Cosmiverse sues MS for having lots of readers at

This thing will never fly.

Trust me on this, I know what I'm talking about.
2002-05-01 05:21:20 PM Just no. Stupid people.

The new design for the 2nd Generation Space Shuttle.

I think it looks pretty dorky. I think it's about time that we concentrate on building some bad-ass looking spaceships. I mean, if there are inteligent beings out there somewhere, then they probably think we have pretty weak-looking rides. I mean, look at it. It's an outer-space minivan. What we need is a space-hoopty. A tricked out Ferrari of a space shuttle. Something sleek. I think people would have a lot more interest in real-life space exploration if our vehicles were designed with a little less eye for utility and a little more style.

Zoom Zoom.

Two words...

Stingray... stingray!

Star Trek indeed. Cool pictures indeed.
My left arse cheek could photoshop a better shuttle. Wait a minute, it already has...

Looks like Fisher-Price's airplane. The current SS looks better.
