/has been seeing it done all day.

You don't know the history of Sandy Duncan. I do.

I work for the Consortium to Destroy this Cliche.

So I would really like to kick the living shiat out of most of these people.

Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you have no imagination.

But trust me.... You don't.

I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you dont know what you are talking about.

This is how bad headaches and road rage gets passed around.

If you dont know about the topic of being witty....Dont make yourself sound like you do because you're not.

Cuz some Farkers believe anythng they hear. I wish you were among them.

/lead my class in weight
//there, on topic...

/This guy found his lucky bullet.

2005-10-07 04:07:34 PM
I think he was so lucky - if it had been a few millimetres in the other direction then I bet he would have lost his eye.

?

2005-10-07 04:09:04 PM
Okay. Here's how I see it.

"Lucky" would have been nearly getting hit, it nearly going through his eyesocket, and it nearly shattering his cheekbone.

No, where he's at is "it could have been worse", but definitely not "lucky".

What? Fark-posters are being irreverent and crass? Show me where O'Tool so that I might take them by the ear and make them apologize!

SpongeJamie
That made me check my reality for a second. Thanks for the laugh-ter.

2005-10-07 04:12:34 PM
I submitted this a few days ago with a much more coherent headline.

2005-10-07 04:14:42 PM
How does a headline like that make it to the front page of Fark? Nobody capable of changing it, from submission to greenlight, noticed that reading it makes your eyes burn?

It's not news, it's ShortBus.com!

2005-10-07 04:17:47 PM
I get headline ass out of.

Mr Williams said he expected to be off work for some time.

Yeah, since he was supposed to be "home with the flu" that day.

It fascinates me that when anyone gets something horrible (nail, fishing weight, screwdriver) stuck in their head they say that they felt only pressure, not pain. I guess it's an acquired trait for living in the wild: Got something stuck in your face? You are probably soooooo farked anyway, why bother to feel pain?

I think it's because those things are so far beyond the realm of normality that the body just immediately goes into WTF mode and those pain receptors shut down because otherwise they'd asplode. Just a thought.

Ever since I was bit by a rattlesnake, I carry that snake around. It's my lucky snake.

Someday I train him

// Was you ever bit by a dead bee?

2005-10-07 04:30:52 PM
Sure, ClickBeetle.

I was bit by Eric the 'Alf-A-Bee.

/you rang?

2005-10-07 05:12:43 PM

"But my mates ran over to me and they could see the tip of the weight sticking out of my eye socket".

Some mates they are. Didn't even pull it out.

This is really cool. I'm in my first year of Radiologic Technology school and now when I look at these xrays my first thought is "ouch!' and my second thought is, hey, you can see the Pisiform bone on the xray of the wrist that Sicarim posted.

/finished my 3rd week of clinicals today. I got to see an xray of a bullet in some guys neck. Sweet.
//Three midterm tests next Tuesday :(

I think I can safely say I'd have passed out after seeing my hands covered in eye blood. Then I'd wake up, remember what happened, and pass out again. Repeat step 2 numerous times for an undetermined amount of time.

2005-10-07 06:07:11 PM
Okay, cough up some links - where are the bizarre xray pics?

2005-10-07 06:59:28 PM
I don't get it. How can something go through your eye socket and not turn your eye into jelly? Did it push the eye out of the way?

/this is creepier than that alligator/python thread a couple days ago

2005-10-07 07:19:28 PM
mu'f'nman > I think he was so lucky - if it had been a few millimetres in the other direction then I bet he would have lost his eye.

He should have mentioned that to the reporters.

2005-10-07 07:47:42 PM
This is one reason I don't fish.

2005-10-07 08:48:17 PM

lucky, indeed.

2005-10-07 09:10:33 PM
I think "Lucky weight" should be more like, "lucky wait" in that he got relatively fast attention from the National Health Service

He is indeed lucky.

Although he was trying to release a snag, there are serious competition casters out there. I kid you not. They cast for distance and are very well trained in it.

Anyway, there is a cast called the "Pendulum" cast that exerts so much force, it can possibly break the line and go flying off at amazing speed.

The speed can get so fast, it can pierce car radiators and other metal objects.
